A 23-karat gilded jewellery box with a bear figure walking across an ice floe - a collectible object handcrafted entirely at Kostylo Atelier.

Every stage of its creation was completed by hand: from the first sketch, through sculpting the bear figure, to the final gilding.
The bear serves as a sculptural handle of the lid, combining the symbolism of protection with functional design.

The box is presented in a signature dark‑green case with gilded custom fittings and a white satin interior.

This piece brings together artistic craftsmanship, ceremonial aesthetics and contemporary collectible design - conceived and created entirely at Kostylo Atelier.

We present the Imperial Hanging Clock - a fully handcrafted luxury wall timepiece created at Kostylo Atelier.

A square form crowned with a hand‑chased double-headed imperial eagle, a dial made from striped flint - one of the rarest semi‑precious stones in Europe - and hour markers shaped as miniature gold ingots come together to form a piece that merges art, craftsmanship and design.

The entire frame is gilded with 23-karat Italian gold, while the back reveals intricately crafted panels, accessible only after removing the gilded bolts.
Every element is made by hand - from the initial concept and stone selection to the final finishing.

This is not just a clock.
It is a collectible art object, where time becomes part of the sculpture.

Inside the piece, you can see tufted, hand-shaped natural white leather - exceptionally thin and soft, selected for its quality, fragrance and tactile refinement.

Each stud is crafted individually: ground, polished, and only then gilded with 23-karat gold.
This process ensures perfect symmetry, purity of line and a distinctive, noble sheen.

The interior is not an addition.
It is a component designed to be just as luxurious as the exterior form.
It is meant to elevate the entire object.
It is meant to express craftsmanship, precision and respect for material.

Sometimes it is the detail that defines everything.

A luxury figural box with Arabian horse heads - handcrafted as a unique piece at Kostylo Atelier.

The two sculpted horse heads are hand-chased and galvanically silver-plated, giving them a refined, cool metallic glow.
The body of the box and the custom-designed legs are galvanically gilded with 23-karat Italian gold, then hand-polished to achieve a deep, warm shine.

The interior is finished with white, natural, delicately scented leather, selected for its thinness, softness, and premium texture.
Each golden stud is individually hand-formed and hand-set, creating a luxurious, rhythmic quilted structure.

This piece brings together sculptural form, goldsmith precision, and the aesthetics of high luxury.

Hand-Crafted Refinement of a Rare Stone - Kostylo Atelier
Working with stone always begins with a vision, but it’s the manual strikes of the chisel that give it real form.
This rare material responds to every gesture - to direction, force, and rhythm.
Through hand chiseling and stone dressing, I shape a texture that will later merge with light in the sculptural composition.

This is one of the processes that define the character of my work: a pure conversation with the material, where craftsmanship meets a precise artistic intention.

At Kostylo Atelier, we have begun working with a rare stone block preserved in its natural crust. The material undergoes manual flame-treatment, revealing its primal structure and the varied textures hidden within each surface.

This fully artisanal process requires precise temperature control and deep experience in working with stone. Fire opens the material, exposing its natural tensions, colour shifts and unique character.

The thermally treated block will become the foundation of one of the light sculptures currently being developed in our atelier.

Currently, I’m working with a fragment of granite distinguished by a rare mineral composition - deep purples, golden veins and dark inclusions.
Through polishing, the surface begins to reveal its natural depth, reflectivity and internal structure.

This selected fragment will become the inlay inside a figural lamp featuring Arabian horse heads - a sculptural lighting piece shaped from rare materials and precise craftsmanship.
A reminder of how much the character of the final object depends on choosing the right section of stone.

Kostylo - Grand Hall Chandelier Set (2014)
A complete architectural lighting ensemble created in the Kostylo Atelier: a large ceiling-mounted chandelier and four wall lamps, all handcrafted from concept to installation.

This project demanded full material discipline - manual shaping, filing, multi-stage sanding and hand polishing of brass surfaces to achieve a unified reflective plane.
The intention was clear: to design lighting that functions as an architectural component, establishing continuity of form and light within a historic pre‑war interior.

The ensemble demonstrates our studio’s commitment to large-scale handcrafted metalwork, structural clarity and the integration of light as a spatial element.

For those interested in the craft and methodology behind our work, we are open to sharing more about architectural approaches to light and hand-forming brass

Arched Monumental Chandelier - Kostylo Atelier (2012)

In 2012, our atelier completed one of the most intricate and technically demanding lighting pieces in our history.

This six-sided arched chandelier was designed and crafted as a bespoke commission for the entrance hall of a large villa hidden deep within the forest.
Cast from solid brass, hand‑chiseled, fitted with milled glass panels, and patinated to a refined old‑bronze finish.

The chandelier stands one meter tall, with four light points that create an atmosphere defined by architectural rhythm and quiet, sculptural presence.
Inspired by classical French arched lantern chandeliers, it is not a reproduction - but an original interpretation, built entirely from scratch using traditional techniques rarely practiced today.

Looking back, we see this piece not only as a lighting object, but as a sculpture of light - bringing material gravity, proportion, and a sense of ritual into the space it inhabits.
