We are thrilled to announce the next headline speaker at our conference — Prof. Virginia Dignum, one of the world's most recognized voices in responsible artificial intelligence.

Virginia Dignum is Professor of Responsible Artificial Intelligence at Umeå University, Sweden, where she leads the AI Policy Lab. She also serves as senior advisor on AI policy to the Wallenberg Foundations and chairs the ACM's Technology Policy Council.

Her track record and influence on global AI policy are remarkable — she earned her PhD in AI from Utrecht University back in 2004, and in 2024 was appointed Wallenberg Scholar. She is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) and a Fellow of both EURAI and ELLIS, as well as founder of ALLAI, the Dutch AI Alliance. She has advised some of the world's leading institutions: UNESCO, the OECD, the EU's High-Level Expert Group on Artificial Intelligence, and the United Nations Advisory Body on AI, while also co-chairing the WEF Global Future Council on AI and leading UNICEF's work on guidance for AI and children. In 2026, she was honored with the Nordic DAIR Award for lifetime achievement in AI.

She has authored more than 300 peer-reviewed publications with over 27,000 citations. In 2026, her latest book, "The AI Paradox," was published by Princeton University Press.

🎥 On our YouTube channel, you can now watch the video from "Extended Theatre" – a discussion devoted to Dr. Martyna Groth latest book, "Teatr Galeria. Audiowizualne laboratorium Jerzego Krechowicza" ("Gallery Theatre. The Audiovisual Laboratory of Jerzy Krechowicz"). Besides the author, the discussion also featured David Sypniewski and Dr. Katarzyna Drogowska. The publication became a starting point for a broader conversation about how technology expands the field of art, as well as an opportunity to present the initiatives of the HumanTech Center and the postgraduate programs Human and Machine Interactions and Creativity of the Past at SWPS University, in which all the panelists are involved as instructors.

We are thrilled to welcome Prof. Joanna Bryson from the Hertie School in Berlin as a Keynote Speaker at our conference!

Prof. Bryson is one of the world's leading experts in the ethics of artificial intelligence, with her work sitting at the intersection of psychology and AI. She co-authored the British Principles of Robotics (2011) - the first national code of ethics for AI - and as early as 1998 published one of the earliest works on AI anthropomorphization (Just Another Artifact). She previously led the AI team at the University of Bath and is currently a professor at the Hertie School in Berlin.

Prof. Bryson to jedna z czołowych światowych ekspertek w dziedzinie etyki sztucznej inteligencji a jej praca stoi na pograniczu psychologii i AI. Współtworzyła British Principles of Robotics (2011) – pierwszy krajowy kodeks etyki dla AI.
