World University Rowing Team 2016

First few days here in Poland have been exceptional with the sun shining and water looking like glass. Heats kick off tomorrow starting at 9am local time and 7pm NZ time.

This week saw our training partners, the New Zealand Under 23 & Junior Teams leave us for their quest for success in Rotterdam. Although it is very lonely back here at Rowing New Zealand now, we are wishing them all the best in hopes they bring back the bling!

To round off the week we had a bit of fun playing paint ball and getting muddy with our coach Gary Roberts. We are now refreshed and ready to smash out our last two weeks here in NZ before heading overseas.

Finally a big shout-out to all our rowers over in Rio who have raced their hearts out this week and left it all on the water, much love.

Ending our 3rd week at Rowing New Zealand with a team cycle. It's good to change things up and do somthing different than rowing. 😊

Rowers depart for 2015 Summer Universiade : RowingNZ Rowing New Zealand

Today's winter series was the last 2km of our build up. The next time we line up for 2km will be in our heats in South Korea. The RNZ photographer Rowing Celebration was on site to take some shots of the action.
In less than 48 hours we will be in the air Korea bound.

Rowing Celebration visited Lake Karapiro and captured our Winter Series racing today.

Our NZ University Team leave this weekend for the Summer Universiade in Korea. The Men's Pair leave NZ on Monday, while the U23s will depart on the 7th July. The Juniors are three weeks into their campaign. The U21s race against Australia from 2-4 July at Penrith, Sydney.
