I would like to invite you to get familiar with my new Linux-based project for APRS.
ULARI stands for "Ultimate Linux Amateur Radio Interface" and it is intended to be a set of devices which utilize Linux-enabled microprocessor modules to serve in the field of amateur radio and related use. More info is available at project webpage: http://www.ulari.net

Below are some photos of my another prototype device which is based on the same RF part as earlier APRS Sentry. A new unit, codename ULARI (Universal Linux Amateur/APRS Radio Interface) is a hermetic device where main board is adapted for Orange Pi Zero Linux board. On third photo you can see a nice open-source DireWolf APRS software developed by WB2OSZ, running on Linux board. In this scheme RF part of the device acts as a virtual USB sound card providing audio samples for Linux application. This should theoretically allow to use the whole device not only for APRS but also for other amateur radio purposes. If only I had more time to work all this out...

A few photos of my new prototype, codename: APRS Sentry. This is a hermetic APRS gateway with built-in 7 WATT transceiver, powered by Power Over Ethernet, and with optional GPRS modem. Still some more work is necessary to put it into mass production.

We have a firmware update for most of our devices which solves Weather Underground no data upload problem which appeared in first days of February 2017.
If you were using much older firmware versions than latest, you need to take care of changes added in later versions. Especially pay attention to correct DHCP or static IP settings (DHCP was not present in much older firmwares).
If you are using the oldest WX3in1 model (not WX3in1 Plus 1.0 or WX3in1 Mini or WX3in1 Plus 2.0), or if you are using WXEth 1.0, please contact me for firmware update. I wasn't able to make the update in reasonable time because of huge differences from lastest source code version.

We are introducing a new APRS Voyager which is an APRS tracker with 7 WATT 2m transceiver and Bluetooth interface. The device is a masterpiece of my development in which I put a lot of work and effort. This design gave me a lot of fun while learning secrets of RF development using spectrum analyzers, RF generators, directional couplers, filters, etc. I hope you will like it:

Around 1th February 2017 Weather Underground service changed something in their web interface for reception of data from remote weather stations. This resulted in loss of communication between Microsat devices and Weather Underground.
Currently I have the problem identified and I know how to solve it. It seems that they simply changed their webserver to another version or other software which is more strict regarding HTTP request headers.
Unfortunatelly this will require a firmware update for all our devices supporting Weather Underground, and this is going to be done soon.

We have a new firmware update for PLXTracker TRX1W v1.03. This update changes RF chip configuration to prevent sleep mode which caused worse decoding in squelched decoding mode ("Channel busy detect" set to "analog signal level").

We have a firmware update for our APRS tracker devices adding support for both GLONASS and GPS NMEA reports and also reports with different latitude/longitude lengths reported by some never GPS receivers like u-blox 8:
