Welcome to the official Facebook fanpage of the revamped WA Language, Gender & Sexuality Research Group (LAGES)!

The group is organized by PhD students from the Department of Sociolinguistics and Discourse Studies at our Faculty, and, more than ever, it's aimed especially at BA, MA and PhD students who do research in, are interested in, or think they might be interested in, the issues surrounding language, gender, sexuality, their intersection and the way they co-construct and influence our identity, knowledge and society.

We wish to provide an open platform for discussion on the current issues and research done on the matter. We encourage all students, as well as researchers and people from outside the academia, to join the open-minded exchange of thought on the forum of our research group.

We will be posting here about the meetings, updates, as well as current issues. The first meeting in this academic year will take place at the beginning of December - stay tuned for the details and see you there!
