Bolesławiec is a town in Western Poland, a beautiful place famous for its ceramics, it has a beautiful town square as well a first class ceramics museum! It was a wonderful day out, I recommend a visit!

Poland just keeps giving, a fairly common urban site is seeing Dziki (wild boars) wondering about and looking for food, in my 8+ years here I’ve not had this encounter and now I’ve had 2 encounters in so many weeks, with the first one…interesting observation, the parents came first to scout the area and then returned with the children

How many dragons have you found on the Dragons trail in Krakow? There are 25 in total and most are quite walkable in main city, a lovely addition to sightseeing in Krakow and of course inspired by Wroclaw’s Dwarves 😉

Welcome to Bochnia! This is the oldest yet second most famous Salt Mine in Poland…more of a local secret than an international sensation but one worth travelling a little further out of Krakow for! There are a few trails on offer inside and a good history lesson for those who want to know more about not only the mine but the region itself…I totally recommend this as another cool place to see in Poland 😁

This week I show you a very beautiful and historic part of Poland, I take you to the valley of palaces…a place of kings and nobles, full of impressive buildings and natural landscapes…and a very special bonus…a medieval connection to Britain and something entirely unique to Poland!

For anyone who may have missed it, the Lego exhibition in the Warsaw national stadium was truly epic! The biggest exhibition in Europe with hundreds of dioramas, characters and monuments…everything from Star Wars to Stonehenge! Even a few Polish specific pieces, truly impressive display!

Another weekend and another fun hike, this time we took a bus from Warsaw to Liw in order to see the medieval castle and followed up with a hike to Węgrów to learn about a man who fled to the moon to escape the devil 😅

Another side of Krakow, this time I focused on the Zakrzówek area, a beautiful lake which used to be a mine producing turquoise waters…now lovingly made into an area for hikers, swimmers and sun bathers, surrounded by a beautiful national park with caves, hills and picnic spots…the a few customary shots of the center, every time I visit this city I find more and more to see!

Jelenia Góra or Deep mountain is the gateway to the Karkonosze mountain range in the south of Poland, an area surrounded by palaces, castles, mountains and beauty, perfect place to go for hikes and exploration while relaxing in the sun!
