CNC Passport Learning Center has launched a new open course: G-code Basics for Beginners.
This is a practical starting point for people who need to read, understand, and safely check simple CNC programs instead of only memorizing isolated commands. The course covers program structure, coordinate systems, G90/G91, tool movement logic, toolpath checking, simulation, basic editing, simple cycles, and subprograms.
It is currently available in English, Russian, and Ukrainian, with more languages planned later.

We published a new article about MDF front templates and why a prepared library often saves more time than rebuilding the same geometry from scratch.
It is a practical topic for design teams, technologists and production shops that handle repeat front panels and need fewer round trips on the same dimensions, margins and milling limits.

Parametric DXF templates are useful when a part is simple, but the number of variants is not.
Ventilation slots, shelves with cutouts, ribbed fronts, small process plates: these parts often repeat with small changes in width, radius, pitch, margins, or quantity. Redrawing each variant by hand in CAD creates room for small mistakes that later become production delays.
CNC Passport Make moves this repeatable geometry into controlled templates. The user changes parameters, gets DXF geometry, and keeps the part logic easier to check and repeat.

Ask CNC Passport now has a focused first mode for G/M-code questions.
This is not a general CNC chatbot. The service first searches prepared CNC Passport references, then forms an AI answer and shows the source behind it: manual, controller, document, pages and matching code.
That matters because G/M-code behavior depends on the controller, series, options and program context. For CNC work, a useful answer should be explainable and traceable.

NCPlayer now includes Timeline Mode, a program viewing mode that shows a CNC program as a sequence of movements over time.
It helps when the important part is not one isolated G-code line, but the order of ex*****on: rapid positioning, cutting moves, transitions between sections, and blocks before or after a mode change.
For training and real program checks, this gives users another practical view next to the code and the toolpath. It does not replace simulation or machine-specific verification, but it makes the sequence easier to inspect.

NCPlayer collaboration mode helps CNC teams review control programs around one shared context instead of exchanging screenshots, archives, and long explanations.
When an operator sees suspicious motion, a programmer or support specialist can inspect the same G-code, discuss exact lines, and connect the conversation to simulation behavior.
This is useful for:
- G-code error analysis;
- pre-run review;
- remote operator support;
- CNC training;
- postprocessor troubleshooting.

CNC Passport has a new service: Nesting Tools.
It is a browser-based tool for preparing sheet cutting layouts quickly: set the sheet size, add rectangular parts, account for spacing, margins and kerf, then export the layout to DXF or SVG.
The first version focuses on rectangular sheets and rectangular parts. That covers many everyday tasks: furniture panels, blanks, simple fronts, cabinet elements, training assignments and quick production checks.
What is already available:
- multiple placement strategies;
- sheet, utilization and waste statistics;
- saved layouts;
- DXF and SVG export.
Nesting Tools is intended as a practical working layer between an idea for a layout and the next production step. It is useful for small workshops, training rooms, technologists and anyone who needs to estimate or compare sheet layouts without setting up a heavy production system.

Today we have prepared a new exercise for beginners to learn how to program machine tools with numerical control.
1. This program will not start on the CNC machine immediately after turning on the machine. The machine has previously performed other programs.
2. Clear those words (addresses and values) that you think are not needed or are modal.
