ate to solowy projekt Petara Petkova, gitarzysty i kompozytora, skoncentrowany na minimalistycznych i eksperymentalnych formach muzycznych.
Muzyka ate skupia się na wnętrzu pojedynczego dźwięku – jego pulsowaniu, niestabilności, relacji z ciszą i reakcjach przestrzeni. To praca z relacjami wysokościowymi oraz subtelnymi napięciami między tonami. To badanie rezonansów i struktury spektralnej dźwięku – jego barwy, wybrzmień harmonicznych i zjawisk psychoakustycznych.
To muzyka powolnych decyzji i uważności, która nie prowadzi, lecz pozwala trwać w dźwięku – słuchać jego chwiejności, rezonansu i delikatnych przesunięć.

"Inner Listening: The Resonance of Self" is the title of my concert, which took place in Stary Sobieski during OPEN HOUSE GDAŃSK.
I performed improvised music on the electric guitar, deeply inspired by the meditative practices of Pauline Oliveros. Within the acoustically enchanting environment of the Stary Sobieski reservoir, my sounds evolved, revealing subtle shifts in tonal color and the intricate complexity of harmonic layers.
The reservoir's exceptionally long reverberation allowed the guitar's tones to linger, weaving an ethereal tapestry of sound. This created a unique duet with my own echo, reminiscent of the immersive experience captured on Pauline Oliveros' "Deep Listening" album.
