BIFD’s range of activities allows citizens to enhance their knowledge, capacity, awareness, and preparedness to successfully meet the challenges to democracy and human right. The mission for the BIFD is to promote research on issues related to democracy, development and human rights while providing training, learning and service opportunities to develop a long term sustainable community. BIFD continues to grow and in turn develop a highly professional and accountable organizational structure. Through singular and collaborative efforts, BIFD exists to promote knowledge about the process of democratic development in a diverse and multi-ethnic Pakistani society. BIFD seeks to further the understanding on democracy and development throughout country and particularly in Balochistan and Sindh province by providing a platform for the discussion and research collaboration of scholars from various academic and national backgrounds. BIFD furthers its objectives by organizing and supporting the research, trainings, hosting conferences and issuing occasional papers.
