24 April 2026 | OCSD – WIW 2026, District Loralai

OCSD successfully initiated WIW 2026 activities in District Loralai, including Inauguration at THQ Loralai (marked by vaccination of a child by the DHO), Awareness Walk, and Advocacy Seminar at EPI Hall.

Awareness was further promoted through prominent display of banners on billboards at two key locations in Loralai city, which will remain in place throughout the week.

The activities were attended by ADC Loralai, DHO Loralai, DDHO, Regional EPI representatives, CCO-Micro merger, LHWs-National Program, Social Mobilizers, Vaccinators, and community members.

Construction work has commenced today for the FSS school at Khanozai, Pishin, supported by the Balochistan Education Foundation (BEF), Education Department, Government of Balochistan.

Glimpses from the 3-Day Staff Capacity Building Training
For Vaccinators, LHWs & Social Mobilizers

The 3-Day Staff Capacity Building Training for Vaccinators, Lady Health Workers (LHWs), and Social Mobilizers was successfully conducted with the active participation of field staff and members of the District Health Management Team (DHMT).

Throughout the three days, comprehensive sessions were delivered on Microplanning (MCP) & Mapping, Social Mobilization Strategies, Group Work, and Presentations, aimed at strengthening the planning, coordination, and implementation of Routine Immunization services across the district. Participants actively engaged in practical exercises and collaborative learning to enhance their technical skills and field-level performance.

Such structured capacity-building initiatives play a vital role in improving immunization coverage and safeguarding the health of the new generation by ensuring protection against 12 vaccine-preventable childhood diseases, ultimately contributing to healthier and safer communities.

On Saturday, 11th April 2026, OCSD was honored to host its respected Board Member, Ms. Urooj Khan, during her visit to the organization.

She reviewed the progress of the institute and its establishment, and shared valuable feedback and guidance for the organization and its future initiatives.

On this occasion, CEO Irfan Alamgir Khan also presented a souvenir as a gesture of appreciation.

Monthly Review Meeting (MRM) Held to Strengthen Immunization Services

A Monthly Review Meeting (MRM) was held under the chairpersonship of DDHO Dr. Shahzaman, with the participation of district health officials from Loralai, along with representatives from OCSD, PPHI, WHO, and Government health departments. Vaccinators from various Union Councils (UCs) also actively participated in the session.

The meeting focused on a comprehensive review of monthly immunization performance across UCs, identification of key gaps, and discussion of strategic measures to improve service delivery and outreach activities.

In his concluding remarks, DDHO Dr. Shahzaman emphasized the importance of strong coordination, dedication, and teamwork during the upcoming IOA activities to achieve maximum coverage of target children and further strengthen routine immunization services across the district.

📢 OCSD TVTI – NAVTTC Visit

OCSD was pleased to host a visit from representatives of NAVTTC on April 07, 2026, including Ms. Hifza Laurance (Headquarters Islamabad) and Ms. Razia (Provincial Office Balochistan), at the OCSD Technical & Vocational Training Institute (TVTI), Quetta.

The delegation was received by CEO / Head of Institute, Mr. Irfan Alamgir Khan, who shared OCSD’s journey since 2004 and the establishment of TVTI as a self-initiated effort to promote skills development and livelihood opportunities for youth.

The team reviewed dedicated classrooms for IT, Early Childhood Education (ECE), and Language training, where faculty members presented their respective areas and readiness for implementation.

OCSD looks forward to collaboration with NAVTTC for accreditation and program rollout.

Strengthening immunization services through capacity building.
Last week, RED and REC training equipped vaccinators with enhanced skills in microplanning, community mobilization, and reaching zero-dose and defaulter children in priority areas including UC Katch 3, Katwai, and Ghazgai Camp.
Together, we remain committed to expanding outreach and ensuring that every child receives life-saving immunization services.
