The Torkhel tribe (or Torah Khel) is one of the major and original Pashtun tribes of the Ghilzai (Ghilzai) branch. This tribe, with a rich and warlike historical background, lives mainly in the provinces of Kabul (especially Deh Sabz district and the Pul-e Charkhi area) and Laghman in Afghanistan, and some of their branches are also present in Pakistan.
