It was a privilege for Mr. Adnan Sulemani, Head of Programs , Sukh Development Foundation, and Mr. Safdar Hussain, Head of Operations, Sukh Development Foundation, to participate in the training programme on “Bridging Global Frameworks with Local Development Practices” held in Pattaya, Thailand.
The training provided a valuable platform to exchange knowledge, explore innovative approaches, and strengthen capacities for integrating global development frameworks into local contexts. Such learning opportunities contribute significantly to enhancing the effectiveness and impact of community development initiatives.

Our Foundation’s Head of Programs, Adnan Sulemani, and Head of Operations, Safdar Hussain, are currently participating in a workshop being held in Pattaya, Thailand.
The central theme of the workshop is:
“Bridging Global Frameworks with Local Development Practices”
— adapting global standards to local needs and on-the-ground realities.
The workshop is providing an excellent opportunity for knowledge exchange, learning innovative strategies, and exploring practical solutions for sustainable development. Participants are engaging with development professionals from different countries, sharing experiences, and gaining valuable insights into effective local implementation of global frameworks

ممکنہ سیلابی صورتحال سے نمٹنے کے لیے سپر بند لیہ پر ریسکیو 1122 کے زیرِ اہتمام موک ایکسرسائز کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔
ایڈیشنل ڈپٹی کمشنر ریونیو ڈاکٹر عابدہ فرید نے ایکسرسائز کا تفصیلی معائنہ کیا اور ریسکیو آپریشنز، ایمرجنسی رسپانس اور حفاظتی انتظامات کا جائزہ لیا۔ اس موقع پر انہوں نے متعلقہ اداروں کو ہدایت کی کہ عوام کے جان و مال کے تحفظ کے لیے پیشگی اقدامات، بروقت رسپانس اور بین الادارہ تعاون کو ہر صورت یقینی بنایا جائے۔
اس مشق میں سکھ ڈویلپمنٹ کی ٹیم نے بھی بھرپور شرکت کی اور ریسکیو 1122 کے ساتھ مل کر عملی اقدامات میں اپنا کردار ادا کیا۔

AGAHE facilitated a strategic dialogue with Ms. Heidi Carrubba Humanitarian Advisor FCDO and Mr. Saeed Ul Hassan Deputy Head of Office British High Commission Punjab during their visit at AGAHE Head Office Lahore on 14 May 2026.
The meeting served as a joint sector engagement platform aimed at strengthening collaboration and strategic coherence among international NGOs, government actors, CSO networks, and development stakeholders working across humanitarian response, resilience, and sustainable development sectors in Pakistan.
The discussion focused on localization, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), anticipatory action, climate resilience, system strengthening, preparedness, and coordinated response mechanisms. The platform also enabled stakeholders to exchange operational insights, reflect on key challenges, and identify opportunities for enhanced coordination, information sharing, and locally led action.
Members of the National Humanitarian Network (NHN) Punjab including HELP Foundation, FDO, Doaba Foundation, RCDS, SYCOPE, FPAP, LPP, Mojaz, SDF, EHD also shared reflections and lessons learned from previous emergency responses, sector coordination experiences, and localization initiatives.
FCDO representatives acknowledged the important role of national and local CSOs in advancing effective, accountable, and locally led humanitarian and development programming, while emphasizing the importance of strengthened partnerships and collaborative approaches.

Attended the One-Day Training Workshop on strengthening the capacities of the District Disaster Management Authority and stakeholders.
Organized by FAO, World Food Programme, PDMA Punjab, and EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid, this session was a great learning opportunity on disaster preparedness, coordination, and emergency response.
Such initiatives are vital to improve our response during floods and other emergencies, especially in districts like Muzaffargarh and Multan.
Grateful to be part of this effort.

Easing the Burden of Water
Sukh Development Foundation, in collaboration with TAYABA Organization distributed H2O Wheels among vulnerable families.
For many women and children, collecting water meant hours of hard labor daily. One H2O Wheel carries 40 liters with ease — restoring dignity, saving time, and improving health.
This is more than a wheel. It’s relief, respect, and empowerment
