Salik Development Foundation - SDF has successfully completed the Restoration/Retrofitting of the Medical Officer Block at BHU Baja, UC Bariyar, Tehsil Dassu, District Upper Kohistan under the Restoring Social Services & Climate Resilience (RSS&CR) Project funded by Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund.

BHU Baja — the only functional health facility serving over 36,000 people — will now have a female doctor, as the DHO Upper Kohistan has committed to her posting after completion of the new accommodation.

Despite the site’s challenging access (a two-hour hike from the road), SDF completed major works including full flooring, boundary wall, roof and latrine repairs, new doors/windows, solar installation, electrification, painting, and a plantation drive.

We sincerely thank PPAF for their continuous support in improving healthcare access for the people of Upper Kohistan.

Salik Development Foundation - SDF has successfully completed the Restoration / Retrofitting of GHS Peero Bela, UC Bariyar, Upper Kohistan under the RSS&CR Project funded by Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund.

This is the only functional school in UC Bariyar, serving as the main school of a cluster of 6 schools with 120+ students enrolled.

From flooring, gate, boundary wall, latrine & electricity repairs to painting, artwork, and swings for children – the school has been transformed into a safe and vibrant learning space. 🌿

In the aftermath of the floods, emerged as the most urgent need in . To address this, Salik Development Foundation - SDF installed in and , the hardest-hit villages. The Public Health Engineering Department KP has committed to filling these tanks daily through their water tankers, ensuring a continuous supply of safe water.

This timely intervention has greatly reduced the risk of waterborne diseases and is helping to safeguard the health of affected families.

SDF on Ground – Emergency Relief in Swabi 🌊

As part of its , SDF provided - to the most vulnerable 12 families in Gadon, Tehsil Topi, Swabi who lost their homes and loved ones during the recent floods and cloudburst.

A total of 12 received comprehensive including , , , , , , and .

To address the urgent water needs, a was also installed in Teshil Topi, District Swabi.

The distribution was carried out transparently in the presence of local elders, jirga representatives, and . , who appreciated SDF’s timely support.
