Introducing the computer science major and Creatives lead, Abdul Basit is a wizard with algorithms and coding, but when the screens are off, he's all about two things – gaming and cricket! He knows how to conquer virtual worlds and swing a cricket bat with equal finesse. And here's the tasty twist – he's a self-proclaimed foodie, always on the hunt for the most delicious bites. And the surprise? He's got a soft spot for crochet, weaving creativity into his spare time with every stitch. With Abdul Basit, you're in for a blend of digital dexterity, sports enthusiasm, culinary adventures,love for his pets, and a touch of crafting magic.

Meet Shah Bano Bhatti, the business-savvy dynamo and Co-Lead with a taste for life's sweeter side. As a business major, she's all about strategy and success, but when she's not conquering the corporate world, you'll find her whipping up magic in the kitchen. Baking is her jam, and nothing beats the joy of warm, fudgy chocolate brownies straight from the oven. And here's the twist – she's not just business minded; she's an organisation whiz too! With her, it's a mix of financial finesse, a love for decadent desserts, and a knack for keeping life perfectly arranged.

Allow me to introduce you to Jawaria Majid, a creative whirlwind with an insatiable passion for all things artistic and literary! With a crochet hook in one hand and a paintbrush in the other, she's a maestro of creativity, constantly conjuring up beautiful pieces of art and design. But that's not all – her love for books is equally boundless. From turning threads into stunning patterns to splashing colours on a canvas and diving into the pages of a book, she is a captivating artist and an ardent reader, and her creativity knows no bounds. Get ready to be inspired by her artistic talents and perhaps even swap book recommendations!

Ilma Asif isn’t just a coding whiz but a brilliant brainstormer, stirring up the perfect code and numerous design elements, piecing every event together with her decor ideas.

The Marketing & PR Team handles branding and sponsorships to help bring insightful workshops and opportunities on campus for tech-savvy and talented individuals.

Hamza takes the Lead this year. We have on our team, (drumroll please) a motorcyclist, gamer, tech-wiz and a poetry lover! He also enjoys weightlifting, receiving recruitment opportunities to compete every so often. He is always looking to try something new and aims to help uplift and establish GDSC’s potential as a homely and welcoming tech-based society.

Amna Farukh is the Marketing & PR Co-Lead, majoring in Poli Sci. She enjoys taking a deep dive in the humanistic perspective and public policy, all while designing strategic marketing campaigns for her role.

Hamail is one nifty and crafty member of our team. The mom of the friend group, her sweet and caring nature stands in tandem with the intricate needlework she embroiders for leisure. She loves documenting her life as a foodie through her food blog. Karate is one of her favourite martial arts. She is headstrong, pursuing a major in psychology and a minor in criminology.

Our host has got it all! The charm, the confidence and the voice to captivate the audience and give them a jist of what the future holds.

Meet Elizabeth Javaid, an awesome blend of curiosity and excitement! A psychology major, Elizabeth loves nothing more than to dive into the mysteries of the human mind. But wait, there's more; she is an avid crime fiction fan, always up for a good mystery. However, her interests are not limited to those of academic backgrounds because she is a fervent football watcher. With this mix of academic passion, a love for thrilling stories, and the football fever, she is a super interesting and fun person to be around. (Note to reader: Buy her ice cream to get on her good side)

The photography team captures every glimpse of GDSC’s events, from documenting the success of each event, the memories that each attendee makes during their stay, to conducting council shoots.

Muhammad Umair Asad represents the vision or building blocks of his society as the Lead. His skills and passion for cinematic arts makes him the best fit for portraying the mission of GDSC through his lens. He lives by the motto of trial and error which helps him take the right shots, assess his aspirations and discover newfound passions. The appeal of stanced cars, the thrill from playing rainbow six siege and the smell of new books piques his interests.

The Publications Team will keep you pleasantly surprised with their engaging and interactive writing style. Producing quality content, be it for professional or casual settings, these keyboard storytellers have got it all.

Meet Khadijah, the campus’s resident cat mom and the Lead for the team. One might stumble upon her on campus either petting the campus cat, looking at videos of cats or simply trying to get her friends to like cats. While she isn’t consumed by thoughts of the feline animal, Khadijah is an avid reader, a K-drama fan, debater-turned-Munner and upholds an unhealthy attachment to the campus library. She is one of the most approachable people on campus, eager to provide a shoulder for comfort and if it’s your lucky day, a book recommendation or two (she seems to have read them all). Jokes apart if you ever find yourself in need of a fellow bookworm, cat mom, a k-drama enthusiast or need help with a research paper, she’s the person to go to.

A biotechnology major, Co-Lead and an introvert by nature, Sharmeen spends her time crocheting and reading non-fiction books (or maybe rereading Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari for the thousandth time). She is known for her love of chunky earrings, dogs and marine science and spends most of her time contemplating what colour to dye her hair next. A self proclaimed “unemployed workaholic”, she can be found on campus reading or buying overpriced chocolates.

Leave the task of visual appeal to the graphics team and their eye for design. The soothing and cohesive colour palette for posters, banners, stories and more is bound to keep you hooked.

Meet Emaan, taking the lead as a sociology major with an insatiable curiosity about the world and an eclectic range of interests. When she’s not diving into the intricacies of human society, you can often find her immersed in the captivating worlds of anime and Korean dramas. She has an uncanny knack for finding the most charming and cosy cafes in town, making her the go-to person for discovering hidden gems. Get ready for some fascinating discussions and exciting cafe-hopping experiences!

Introducing Mariam Ajmal as our Co-Lead, the biotechnology maven with a hidden artistic side! As a biotechnology major she's got a knack for all things science, but here's the twist – when she's not unravelling the mysteries of cells and molecules, she's crafting stunning visuals through graphic design. An introvert at heart, Mariam thrives in the world of pixels and petri dishes. But that's not all; her heart truly belongs to her family and her loyal canine companions. Whether she's experimenting with genes or creating captivating digital art, or just spending quality time with her loved ones and furry friends, she is a delightful blend of scientific precision and creative flair.
