ASD has recently completed a new office design for the expansion of Dropbox's headquarters in San Francisco. The 13,000 square foot addition is located in the same building as their previously shown space, but is on a separate floor.

ASD provided full interior design services for Dropbox’s newly expanded space. Our objective for this project was to create a bright and airy space that maintained Dropbox’s office culture despite expanding into a separate suite and floor from the majority of the employees. The new space includes open workspace for the employees, several open lounge/meeting areas and a number of enclosed meeting spaces. One of the most noteworthy enclosed meeting spaces is the “treehouse,” where individuals or groups can gather for focused or collaborative work within a not-so-typical meeting space.

’s new expansion includes a kitchen servery in which cappuccinos, fresh juices, and both hot and cold foods are prepared throughout the day. The existing full-service kitchen was expanded to include a baking oven, new cook line and hoods, and additional high density dry goods storage.
ASD specified all of the new furniture and designed several custom pieces for meeting areas, lounge spaces and dining areas.

Cybernet recently engaged the interior design and architecture firm – Naheed Mashooqullah— to design the company’s Karachi-based Network Operations Center and the headquarters of its cloud computing division, RapidCompute.
Pakistan’s first cloud computing service provider, RapidCompute provides IAAS services to a range of customers from start-ups to large multinationals. The office was built to reflect the company’s culture of openness, collaboration and fun – while providing an inspiring and ergonomic workplace to stimulate employee creativity and enhance productivity.

The project involved extensive renovation of a 5,500 sq. ft. portion of Cybernet’s 20,000 sq. ft. corporate facility in Karachi. The renovated office is amongst Pakistan’s few truly green facilities and boasts a variety of features for energy conservation such as DC inverter air conditioners, LED lighting (with occupancy sensors), double pane UV treated windows etc. The office was built taking into account ISO 27001:2005 ISMS standards and includes use of biometric based security access for sensitive locations, advanced CCTV based monitoring and a robust building management system.

The design is a harmony of both form and function. The color palette used is conservative with streaks of RapidCompute’s bold orange motif. Special attention was placed on the decor of the office, which was commissioned by local artisans. Other features include modern bathrooms and kitchenette, height adjustable workstations, video conferencing facilities in all meetings rooms (including a telepresence robot for telecommuters) and a marble internal staircase that opens to an elegant lounge and recreation area for employees and guests.

The new headquarters of internationally renowned online platform SoundCloud cover three levels and approx. 4,000 square metres of an old brewery building close to the former Wall. The complex, designed to serve as a future incubator for up-and-coming start-ups, will become the one-stop office for all 180 Berlin employees of the foremost hub for musical exchange on the net. Anticipating future expansion of the rapidly growing platform, the spacious offices could potentially accommodate up to 350 desks.

To provide the company and its new HQ with a matching spatial identity and the right architectural framework for the platform’s novel business and working structures, asked to turn its new hub into a space that exudes and encourages innovation and creativity. The platform envisaged a welcome beacon in Berlin’s office landscape that both shapes the company and evolves with SoundCloud over the years.
