ڈینگی کیا ہے؟
ڈینگی بخار ایک خاص قسم کے مادہ ڈینگی مچھر
( Aedes albopictus) اور (Aedes aegypti) کے کاٹنے سے لاحق ہوتا ہے۔اس مچھر کی خصوصیات یہ ہیں کہ اس کے جسم پر سیا اور سفید رنگ کی دھاریاں پائی جاتی ہیں۔
ڈینگی مچھر سے بچنے کیلئے احتیاطی تدابیر:
فریج کی ٹرے باقاعدگی سے صاف کریں۔
پانی کے برتن کو ڈھانپ کر رکھیں۔
روم کولر استعمال میں نہ ہوں تو پانی نکال دیں۔
روشندان کھڑکی اور دروازوں پر جالی لگائیں۔
مچھر بھگاؤ لوشن استعمال کریں۔
پوری آستین والی قمیض پہنیں۔
مچھر بھگانے کے لیےکوائل،میٹ یا اسپرے استعمال کریں۔
جانور اور پرندوں کے برتن صاف رکھیں۔
نلکے/ ٹوٹی لیک ہو تو مرمت کروائیں۔
ٹائروں میں پانی جمع نہ ہونے دیں۔
کوڑا کرکٹ کو فوراً تلف کریں۔
ڈینگی بخار کا کوئی مخصوص علاج نہیں ہے اور فی الحال اس کے لیے ویکسین بھی دستیاب نہیں ہے لہذا صرف بروقت احتیاط سے ہی محفوظ رہا جاسکتا ہے۔
ڈینگی مچھر چکن گونیا اور زیکا وائرس کا باعث بھی بنتا ہے۔

الخدمت لیب لاہور کے تحت ہر سال ورلڈ تھیلیسیمیا ڈے کے موقع پر تھیلیسیمیا کے مرض میں مبتلا بچوں کے لیے تقریب کا انعقاد کیا جاتا ہے، یہ دن تھیلیسیمیا کے مریضوں اور ان کے والدین کے اعزاز میں منایا جاتا ہے جو بیماری کے بوجھ کے باوجود اپنی زندگی سے ناامید نہیں ہوتے.
تقریب کے مہمان خصوصی سرپرست اعلیٰ الخدمت فاؤنڈیشن لاہور جناب ذکر اللہ مجاہد نے بچوں کے ساتھ کیک کاٹا، بچوں میں تحائف تقسیم کئے اور ان کی صحت تندرستی کے لیے دعا بھی کروائی.

WHO delegation visits Alkhidmat Headquarters, applauds the work
A delegation of the World Health Organisation led by the Country Head, Dr Palitha Gunarathna Mahipala paid a visit to Alkhidmat Headquarters in Lahore, Pakistan. The delegation was given a briefing on all the service areas of the Foundation in general and the healthcare projects in particular. It was told that Alkhidmat Foundation is serving the people across the country without any discrimination based on race, colour, and religion.
Speaking on the occasion, WHO's Pakistan Country Head, Dr Palitha Ganarthana said that in a nation like Pakistan, it is highly valuable for a humanitarian organization to provide services to rural and remote areas and Alkhidmat Foundation is impacting lives through its incredible relief activities that are being carried out at the grass-root level. Dr Palitha applauded Alkhidmat's endeavours aimed to provide much-needed relief to the people through a model that he said holds uniqueness in the non-profit sector. WHO's Country Head further said that both Alkhidmat and WHO can join hands together to make a difference in the healthcare sector and work out strategies that could reinforce mutual cooperation.
The meeting was attended by Dr Jamshed Ahmed, Head, WHO Punjab, Dr Yahya, Maternal and Child Health Advisor, WHO, Dr Muhammad Mushtaq Mangat, Vice-President, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, Prof. Dr Hafeez-ur-Rehman, Chairman, Alkhidmat Health Foundation, Prof. Dr Afzal, Senior Vice-Chairman, Prof. Dr Zaid Latif Secretary-General and Sufyan Ahamd, the Managing Director Alkhidmat Health Foundation. Moreover, the representative of the Prevention of Blindness Trust, Dr Intizar Hussain Butt, and the Director of Alkhidmat Maternal and Child Health Project, Prof. Dr Amitullah Zarrin were also present at the meeting.
