SOCByte Phishing Hackathon!

This June, SOCByte is bringing a hands-on cybersecurity challenge where participants will step into the role of phishing simulation leaders and test their creativity, awareness, and practical security skills in a controlled environment.

This is not just another competition, you guys!

It is a real-world phishing simulation challenge designed to help participants understand how phishing campaigns are planned, written, executed, and evaluated from a cybersecurity awareness perspective.

How the contest will work:

Participants will be given exclusive access to SOCByte’s phishing simulation platform, where they will create their own phishing email templates and run a simulated phishing campaign.

Each participant will have 30 minutes to:

> Create a phishing email template
> Customize the content, subject line, and structure
> Launch the campaign in a controlled setup

We recently ran an internal phishing simulation using our own platform i.e. PhishByte.

Result? A few people clicked.

Yes, even inside a cybersecurity company.

And that’s exactly the point.

Phishing attacks don’t succeed because people are careless. Or weak.

They succeed because attackers are getting smarter, faster, and more convincing every day.
