Sub Rang Society team participated in the two-day Community & Civil Society Consultation for TB and HIV Funding Request Processes in Islamabad, organized by the Association of People Living with HIV (APLHIV).

The consultation focused on strengthening community voices, inclusive healthcare access, and collaborative advocacy for TB and HIV responses in Pakistan. Together, we continue to push for community-led solutions and meaningful representation of key populations in health policymaking.

Sub Rang Society attended the Aawaz II Provincial Forum on Social Inclusion focused on Access to Justice for Transgender Persons & Persons with Disabilities.

The discussion highlighted the urgent need for inclusive policies, safer public services, accessible documentation, protection mechanisms, and meaningful representation of marginalized communities in decision-making spaces.

We are committed to amplifying community voices and advocating for dignity, justice, and equal rights for all.

Team Sub Rang Society joined SHRC, Sindh Police, Team GIA, and community activists for a follow-up meeting on the functioning of Transgender Protection Desks across Sindh. We raised critical concerns around harassment, delays, discrimination, and lack of sensitivity, while also sharing community-led recommendations for stronger coordination, accountability, and representation.

Meaningful change begins when community voices are heard and included in decision-making spaces. ✊🏽🏳️‍⚧️

Building dialogue and local action for a more inclusive society .

Today, we met with the TG Councillor of TMC Jinnah Town to discuss key issues affecting the transgender community and strengthen collaboration for community support, safety, and inclusion.

Sub Rang Society (SRS) in collaboration with Wo Kahani Network-PK, successfully conducted multiple community workshops at the SRS-commune aimed at fostering inclusive dialogue and community awareness on critical social issues mainly focused on reproductive justice (menstrual hygiene management), gender equality, societal barriers, household dynamics, psychological well being, nutrition and healthy diet, the impact of inflation on marginalized communities, and the importance of collective understanding and support.

Through participatory discussions, attendees shared lived experiences and explored ways to promote dignity, equity, and social inclusion within their communities. The community also pledged to work as advocates and support the notion of both organizations. Since the project sunflower focuses on diversity, dignity and resilience; the trainers focused that all these principles and core values are reflected and integrated with the issues of gender diverse youth of the society as well, through this program.

The key campaign launched in this state was ''gender is a social construct and shouldn't affect your bodily functions or actions'' called Gender Ka Achaar Dalu; in alignment with hygiene core themes and reproductive justice.
These workshops reflect our continued commitment to creating safe spaces for diversity, dignity and resilience through leadership, learning, dialogue, and community-led change, while strengthening awareness around respect, equity, justice and social well-being.

SRS x NTUF X HBWWF

Every year, Sub Rang Society (SRS) proudly stands in solidarity with workers across Pakistan, in collaboration with HBWWF and NTUF, to raise our collective voice for dignity, equality, and justice.

This year, as responsible citizens of Pakistan, we reaffirm our demands:

• Protection and implementation of labour rights for all
• Recognition and freedom of unionization
• Assurance of fair and living wages for workers
• Urgent action against the rising cost of petrol and essential commodities

We believe that economic justice is social justice. The voices of workers, including marginalized communities, must be heard, respected, and protected.

No worker should be left behind.

Team Sub Rang Society at SHRC Meeting 🏳️‍⚧️

Team SRS actively participated in the meeting at SHRC, advocating for the rights and inclusion of the transgender community. It was encouraging to hear meaningful contributions from Waqar Younus and Dr. Sarah Gill, who highlighted important perspectives during the discussion.

Our key demands included:
✨ Approval of transgender job quota
✨ Implementation of transgender education policy
✨ Establishment of facilitation desks in all districts
✨ Age relaxation in government jobs
✨ Stronger implementation and accountability of policies

While the progress remains slow, conversations like these are important steps toward change.
