Throwback to making this cake! It may look deceptively simple but making these thousand something rainbow dots on a two tier cake was one hefty job! My smallest finger went sore in the end!

Have you seen the Heston Blumenthal show's episode that is focused on "Chocolate". He makes this Amazing Chocolate Gateau among these other sinful deliciousnesses. Now I dint have a Paint Gun but boy would that flocking have been fun! I did however have access to the other fun bit of it : "Popping Candy"... It was so much fun to eat this tart with little citrusy candy explosions in the mouth coupled with rich chocolate and caramel combination 🍫🍭 Anyway... Popping Candy & shortbread base with chocolate ganache filling topped with dark & ever so slightly bitter salted-caramel 💞( recipe inspired by Heston Blumenthal's Chocolate Gateau)
