While universities are good at imparting knowledge to the students, they often lack in preparing them for entering the job market.
The objective of EDP is enabling students to move beyond their academic lives into their professional ones by providing the necessary skills and tools for this transition. One of the biggest challenges for young students graduating from university is to find the right kind of employment or having the right aptitude for starting their own business. Both, employment and entrepreneurship require a ce
rtain set of skills that involve presenting oneself in the market and are less talked about in the conventional classrooms. Additionally, employers also suffer from the inability to find the right kind of people for their organizations. This creates a multi-faceted problem that needs an innovative solution, one which School of Leadership is capable of executing. Objective: The Employability Development Program looks to focus on students who are going to graduate soon, have recently graduated or are trainees elsewhere and educate them on a host of topics and equip them with the right skills that are essential in finding employment. Moreover EDP also aims to provide networking opportunities to the fellows of this programme with corporate and NGO managers.
