Launching a New Chapter for Women, Peace, and Environmental Justice in Swat

Hashoo Foundation, in partnership with United Nations Development Programme, officially launched the orientation session for “Empowering Women for Peace and Environmental Justice in Swat” at University of Swat.

Bringing together government representatives, academia, civil society, and community leaders, this 7-month initiative aims to strengthen women’s leadership, promote climate resilience, and advance environmental justice across District Swat.

Together, we are building more peaceful, resilient, and sustainable communities.

On World Environment Day 2026, Hashoo Foundation conducted a one-day drip irrigation training for 25 farmers in Mani Bala Gunar Farm UC, District Diamer, under the GBLADP project supported by PPAF.

The session promoted water conservation and climate-smart agriculture, helping farmers adopt sustainable irrigation practices in a region with limited water resources. Together, we are building a greener and more resilient future.

Empowering farmers with smart water solutions!

Under the Gilgit Baltistan Local Area Development Program, implemented by Hashoo Foundation with support from Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund, 25 farmers in District Diamer received training on drip irrigation to enhance water efficiency and promote climate-smart farming.

Monitoring teams from Asia Pacific Humanitarian Fund -Pakistan and IOM visited households and met with beneficiaries in Laser, Shing Nala, and Hameed Abad, District Diamer, gaining firsthand insights into the progress of community-focused interventions.

These visits strengthen accountability, foster community engagement, and ensure that support reaches those who need it most.
