Al-Mustafa Development Network (ADN) is a registered nonprofit organization in Pakistan and AJ&K.
Evolved during the devastating earth quack of October 2008, which hit northern areas of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. ADN successfully demonstrated its capacity and worth, during the relief and rehabilitation after the earth quack. In the recognition of its services President of AJ&K awarded Humanitarian award to ADN. After the establishment ADN was registered under trust act of 1882 in Muzaffarabad
in 2006, latter on ADN extended its activities in other areas of Pakistan and registered under societies registration act XXI1860 in Islamabad in 2010. ADN is governed by a board of Directors who are legally responsible for the organizational affairs. Board of Directors is headed by the Chairman/Chief Executive who supervises organizational projects and activities with the support of its management team. Management team comprises three senior management positions viz Director Projects & Development, Director Finance & Administration, Director Fundraising and Public Relations. Financial Management is the key function and a comprehensive system has been adopted to manage all the funds of ADN. With the objective to promote social wellbeing through sustainable developmental activities and providing emergency relief services wherever and whenever it occurs. Al-Mustafa Development Network undertook the interventions in the areas of Emergency relief, WASH, Education, Child Protection, Livelihoods (through vocational and technical trainings) and Capacity building of local communities. These initiatives are completed in different areas of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, KPK, Punjab, Balochistan with the help of, UNHCR, UNCIEF, AL-Mustafa Trust International-UK, The Charities Network-UK, Human Appeal International-UK, Qidwai Welfare Trust-Pakistan, Helping Hands for Relief & Development, Miri Roshni Academy-UK, Global Giving USA, AUSAID, Embassy of Japan, BISP (GoP) and Concern Worldwide (USAID-RAPID fund). On the Overall, the financial portfolio handled by ADN for the said interventions from 2006 to 2013, was 383 million Pak rupees. Till date, implementation of all undertaken activities in an effective, smooth and timely manner has been ensured through the organization’s 69-member staff, based at its Head Office in Rawalpindi and Project Offices Islamabad, Rawlakot, Swat, Muzaffarabd, Kotli and Shekhupura Punjab. ADN also enjoys close coordination with various national development networks such as, Skill Development Alliance (SDA); The Educational Network (TEN); TVO’s Tehsil Network of NGOs AJ&K; and Participated in Cluster activities during the emergencies in AJ&K, KPK Punjab and Baluchistan. Existence of above mentioned linkages, experience of working with a variety of funding agencies, and well established physical presence in 2 provinces and Azad Jammu & Kashmir , have all worked in combination for ensuring ADN’s continued operational success over the last 8+ years.
