The Cutwail botnet, also known as Pushdo, is one of the largest and longest-running botnets in cybersecurity history. First detected around 2007, Cutwail primarily spreads through malicious email attachments and links, leveraging infected computers to send out massive volumes of spam emails.

At its peak, Cutwail was responsible for a significant portion of global spam traffic, with estimates suggesting it could send billions of spam emails per day. Despite efforts to disrupt its operations, Cutwail has remained active, demonstrating the resilience and adaptability of sophisticated botnet infrastructures.

In its notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, Pakistan Suzuki Motors disclosed that it had fallen victim to a cyber attack, resulting in the unauthorized exposure of critical data pertaining to HR, Finance, and other departments.

This incident underscores the imperative for robust cybersecurity measures across all industries. It serves as a stark reminder that organizations must enhance their security protocols to mitigate the risk of such breaches and safeguard sensitive information.
