RDF, in collaboration with the District Administration Hyderabad, marked the International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism at the TRC, Hyderabad.
The event honoured the lives lost to terrorism and stood in solidarity with affected families. Through speeches, reflection and a peace awareness rally, participants renewed their commitment to peace, tolerance, unity and human dignity.

Research and Development Foundation (RDF), under the Skills Up Plus Project with the support of Welthungerhilfe (WHH), organized a one-day capacity development session on Technical and Financial Proposal Development for the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Human Resource Research & Development Board (BBSHRRDB). The session was attended by representatives of RDF’s partner Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), who actively participated throughout the full-day training.
The session aimed to strengthen the capacity of CSOs in understanding the technical and financial requirements of BBSHRRDB proposals, including proposal structure, activity planning, budgeting, costing, and compliance with relevant requirements. The training provided participants with practical knowledge and guidance to improve the quality of their proposals and enhance their ability to access skills development and livelihood opportunities for youth.

RDF, under the Skill Up Plus Project, engaged with STEVTA institutions in Matiari and Larkana to discuss the implementation of new green skills courses. The discussions covered Banana Biomass Recycling, Solid Waste Management, youth enrollment, laboratory facilities, and institutional support. A total of 100 scholarships will be also provided to eligible youth with the support of Welthungerhilfe (WHH).

The Electric Vehicle Technician Training Course, organized by the Research and Development Foundation (RDF) with the support of Kindernothilfe (KNH), is providing participants with practical skills in electric vehicle systems, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. The initiative promotes sustainable skills development and prepares youth for emerging green technology opportunities.

RDF continues to invest in quality education through professional development initiatives. On 15 August 2026, CPD Phase 2 — Day 1 Training on ICT Integration in Teaching was successfully conducted under the JICA Girls’ Schools Package-II, EMO Schools Programme.
The training, held simultaneously in Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar, and Badin, equipped teachers with practical approaches to integrate technology into classroom teaching and enhance learning outcomes.
The presence of education leaders and RDF management at the Hyderabad centre further encouraged teachers and strengthened the commitment towards improving education quality.

RDF Celebrates 79th Independence Day of Pakistan
On 14 August 2026, the Research and Development Foundation (RDF) celebrated the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan at its Central Office with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.
The celebration was attended by staff members from the RDF Central Office, Green Skill Project, and Skill Up Plus Project. The event included a cake-cutting ceremony, which brought together staff members to celebrate this important national occasion.
On the occasion, Mr. Masood Ahmed Mahesar, Executive Director, RDF; Mr. Arshad Ali Danwar, Deputy Director, RDF; and Mr. Ghulam Sarwar Mallah, Education Expert, JICA Project, shared their remarks on the significance of Independence Day. They highlighted the importance of unity, responsibility, education, skills development, and collective efforts for the progress and development of Pakistan.
The celebration concluded with a renewed commitment by RDF staff to continue contributing to the social and economic development of communities and to support a more prosperous, skilled, and resilient Pakistan.
