Our next very important session in the recent camp was about how to deal with raw nature, calamities, wildlife, and dangerous situations outdoors and how to make your way back safely.

This helps girls and women become confident and self-sustaining, because it’s highly likely that you won’t always have someone around during your climbs, adventures, or solo trips.

We also introduced the girls to some very unconventional ways of observing the landscape, including reading the stars, moon, and clouds; which were once an important part of our indigenous wisdom.

We hope the girls will continue sharing this knowledge with others and stay safe in the outdoors.

EXPOSURE TRAINING | Girls Backpacking Camp

"Face your fears here, so that you don't fear in the mountains"!!

We design challenging situations for our girls so they can learn how to make decisions under pressure; one such method is exposure training.

Through rock climbing, crossing suspension bridges, and navigating narrow mountain trails, they discover their strengths and weaknesses and how to work with them.

By the end of the camp, the girls leave as stronger, more confident individuals, ready to lead others. 💪

WHY 'Samar Camp'?

Because when I ( ) started my sports journey, there was no local community leader or living example I could relate to or learn from, no one from my village, my province (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), or even my country who was mountain biking in the mountains.

There was no learning source or mentor I could find.
My only teacher was Google. That’s how I researched, planned, and carried out most of my expeditions, through pure experimentation, trial and error. I learned everything the hard way.

But over the years, action sports have transformed my life completely, building my personal skills, confidence, financial stability, leadership, and identity as a sportswoman.

So, when I see little girls in mountain communities, full of passion and energy, all I want is to share the power of sports with them and become the living example (the sports sister, the mentor, the local leader) I once searched for at the beginning of my journey.

That’s why Samar Camp doesn’t just teach the technical aspects of sports, it also introduces career opportunities, outdoor safety, and leadership skills, so that these girls can become champions both on and off the playground.

We are grateful to .officials for involving our founder and renowned adventure athlete in the girls' camp as an instructor.

As someone who has lived and witnessed the transformative impact of adventure sports, she ensured the girls learned not only the technical aspects of cycling but also the career opportunities and environmental benefits it offers.

We hope neighboring villages will be inspired to adopt a cycling culture.

1st Session of Girls Backpacking Camp-3

'Expedition Management' was designed & delivered in a way which educates participants on the basic principles of engaging in mountain sports.

It includes researching the weather, feasibility, gears, training, budget and many other important factors.

The goal is to equip participants with essential tools and skills, enabling them to lead their own solo or group expeditions after completing our 'girls camp'.
If they choose to pursue mountain sports, they will know where to begin.
