Snaps of last year’s winter sports festival in Gilgit Baltistan.
It is really good to see local govt and organizations giving attention to winter sports in the region to attract tourists. Now the point is can we manage and accommodate thousands of tourists coming to Gilgit Baltistan in extreme winters, the recent unfortunate incident which happened in Murree raises questions for Gilgit Baltistan's tourism. The hotel industry here is only functional for maximum six months in a year, we don't have better infrastructure and road access to maximum parts, power and water issue is one of the main reason hotel industry is shut for half a year.

The Govt of Gilgit Baltistan needs to pay special attention to these issues for sustainable and safe tourism in the whole area to avoid incidents like Murree.
