That's the challenge.

If you're turning 43, you run 43 kilometers.
And since it's Kuya Cocoy Bagunu 43rd birthday, there was only one thing to do:

Run 43K. 🫡

I signed up for 15K. 😂

Joined Kuya Cocoy's birthday run at the University of the Philippines, running alongside the Batasan Runners, an absolute squad of elite runners who made my 15K feel like I accidentally joined the wrong group chat.

But that's exactly why I enjoyed it.

15 kilometers of running, chasing the pace, taking in the UP roads, and sharing the miles with some seriously strong runners.

Meanwhile, Kuya Cocoy was out there completing his 43K birthday challenge.

Different distances. Same reason.

Run. Celebrate. Share the miles.

Happy birthday, Kuya Cocoy! Thank you for letting me be part of the celebration. Here's to another year of running, more miles, and definitely more crazy birthday challenges.

100% worth showing up.

I was looking for my stride. I couldn't find it.

July 28 was the last time I trained before I had to step away from running because of a soleus injury.

I finally got back on August 22 after several sessions of physical therapy with The Oracle Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Clinic.

So when I stood at the starting line of the Pru Pop Run 10K, I knew this wasn't going to be the version of me I was used to.

The gun went off.
I tried to settle into my usual stride.
Nothing.

My legs felt heavy. The rhythm wasn't there. Every time I tried to find that familiar feeling, it seemed to disappear again.

But I kept going.

I did my usual routine. Warm-up. Stretching. Active movements. Then I just ran with what I had that day.

Garmin said 51:24.
The official clock said 52:15.

And somehow...

52:15 became my new 10K PR.

From 54:09 to 52:15.

23rd out of 906 overall.
20th in the Men's Category.

Was it pretty? No.
Did I feel like I was running my best? Definitely not.

But maybe that's what makes this one special.

I didn't need everything to be perfect to move forward. I just needed to run.

The legs may not have been ready.
The stride may not have been there.
But the PR was.

And I'm not done yet.

BEYOND THE CLUB | 2025–2026.

Some journeys begin within the club, but the real challenge is seeing how far you can take them beyond.

As one of the recipients of the Beyond the Club Award 2025–2026 for representing the ADP Philippines Toastmasters Club in the International Speech Contest, this is truly an honor to be highlighted globally.

From entering my first Area-level contest to earning First Place in the Area, I continued the journey to the Division Contest, where I competed alongside some of the best speakers in the Division. And the journey doesn't end there, I am already preparing for the next contest season, with plans to take on the Evaluation and Table Topics Contests.

More than the awards, this is a celebration of the courage to step outside the familiar, represent the club, and keep challenging oneself to grow.

Two years later, and we’re back for another build.

After two years since his last keyboard modification request, this client came back and trusted me once again. This time with his new Zoom TKL.

There’s something special about having a client return, especially when they’ve decided to let you work on another board after all this time. It’s a small reminder of why I enjoy doing this in the first place: taking a great keyboard and making it feel a little more personal, refined, and satisfying to use.

For this Zoom TKL, we focused on tuning the board to bring out its best sound and typing feel, while keeping the character of the keyboard intact.

New board. New build. Same trust, two years later.

Thank you for coming back and trusting me with another one.

Had a great time with the Run with Carla comunity in partnership with BPI MS, bringing together the RunXecure Fam for another fun and meaningful run.

This time, I had the privilege of running alongside Coach Gab Rosario while taking on sweeper duty for the 6:00–6:30 min/km pace group led by kuya Paul and Psy! Parang sinukat!

Nothing beats helping the crew stay together, keeping the pace steady, and making sure everyone gets to the finish line strong.

Big runs are great, but runs like these remind me that running is better when we run together.
