“From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”

This has been the rallying cry of pro-Palestinian activists and advocates, reverberating from not just the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea, but across the world – as we catch sight of the unceasing tragedy that epitomizes oppression and injustice towards the Palestinian people. With the continual undertaking of cruel and ruthless wars and ethnic cleansing for decades, most Palestinians fell victim as refugees during the 1947 Nakba and the 2008 and 2014 wars – with thousands of children wounded, injured, and killed.

Albeit being miles away from Palestine, this tribulation underscores our minuscule yet potent roles to withstand the demolition of the foundations of basic human rights and liberty. We, the Mithi Organization, strongly condemn Israel's atrocities against Palestinians, including killings, blocking humanitarian aid, spreading propaganda to further fabricated narratives, and receiving large-scale donations for IDF funding. Since October 7, 37,084 Palestinians have been robbed of their lives; the conflict dating back to 1948. Israeli forces have disguised themselves as aid workers to infiltrate Gaza while pro-Israeli voices continue to dismiss the genocide as mere 'Pallywood propaganda.’

The plight of the Palestinians is an atrocious and vital humanitarian crisis that requires immediate attention and assertive action from communities around the globe, including the Filipino youth. So what can YOUth do? First, stimulate large-scale discourse by utilizing social media platforms to raise awareness as well as share reliable information and resources by using pertinent hashtags like . Second, make informed choices by boycotting companies that continue to support the genocide and call for their divestment. Third, pursue mass action and mobilization through participating in peaceful protests and making donations to Palestinian victims. Most importantly, demand a ceasefire by signing petitions.

These measures reinforce our vehement opposition to Israel’s injustice towards Palestine. Our voice and actions, no matter how small they may seem, can contribute to extensive impact. Collectively, let us foster a generation of stewards of justice equipped with bright minds and brave hearts—onward a future where from the river to the sea, Palestine shall stand unshackled and at liberty.

This Labor Day, Mithi stands in solidarity ✊ with all Filipino workers and laborers in calling for higher wages, better working conditions, and more inclusive and protective legislation that fully recognizes their rights and freedoms.

Mithi firmly believes that empathy and education 📚 go hand in hand, and in fighting for a more equitable and progressive society for both workers and non-workers, increasing access to an education that teaches the Filipino youth to become aware, think critically, and speak out 🗣️ about what is going on around them becomes all the more crucial and essential.

Let this statement urge everyone to be one with our workers 🤝 and to help amplify their voices by using all the means attainable to us, especially on this day, where we are reminded that it is through their tireless work and service that we are where we are today.

Happy Labor Day!

"Oh! How I love being a woman!" 🌟

Happy Women's Day! 🎀💗

This day is dedicated to celebrating the impactful experiences of women worldwide, acknowledging their struggles and triumphs. It is a time to go hand in hand in helping women with their continous battle for equal rights by honoring their achievements, advocating for progress, and championing equality and empowerment. 🏆✨

It is undeniable that women are inherently diverse—from distinct ethnicities to social backgrounds; the identity of a woman is incredibly multifaceted. 🌏 In acknowledgement of the unique qualities of women, we recognize that the female struggle is also relative to each person. A woman’s experiences as they navigate the male-dominated society does not equate to the experiences of another. ⚖️ This emphasizes the need for an intersectional approach at dissecting and solving gender-based issues that trouble our nation. 🤝 As women, we must also see beyond our differences and inspire a wave of solidarity as we work together in a collective effort to dismantle the patriarchy and bring forth an equitable tomorrow.

At Mithi, one of our main advocacies is girls’ education. 🎓 According to UNICEF, 129 million girls worldwide are deprived of an education, some even being forced into marriage prior to turning 18 which consequently, narrows the pool of opportunities they are likely to get. As youth leaders and volunteers, we must make it our obligation to aid in the educational journey of girls and women by initiating discourse to raise awareness about the issue and volunteering for initiatives such as charitable donations of books and school supplies to underfunded schools. 🏫

Together let us embrace the beauty 💗 of every woman in the world, and create a future where every woman's voice is heard and valued. 🙌

Kindness is a virtue that we should always possess and express, no matter the circumstances. Kindness spreads positivity🌟 and fosters meaningful connections with others. It also reflects the Golden Rule which states that we should treat others the same way we want to be treated. This February 17, we commemorate Random Acts of Kindness Day💕 to hopefully inspire people to do acts that display the spirit of kindness, in any way they can.

There are small gestures and actions that we can do to make someone's day brighter. They could be offering to hold the door open, giving a compliment to someone, or even something as simple as smiling at them. These acts have the power to make people feel appreciated and valued🫂, which is why they are so important. Larger acts of kindness could include donating food or supplies to people in need can have a big impact on their lives as well. Kindness can come in all shapes and sizes, and even the slightest gesture can make a meaningful difference.✨

Mithi, as an advocate for educational equity and quality for children, is powered by an all-encompassing kindness that drives the spirit of our volunteerism up to a notch. Much like the core message behind Random Acts of Kindness Day, we believe in the power that kindness holds in amplifying the voices of the underprivileged young, helping create markers in expanding access to quality education and fostering communities that are bound by the common goal of doing good. 🌸📚
