CSO LGU-Titay

LGU Titay successfuly conducted the Selection of Representatives to the Local Special Bodies promoting transparency and participatory governance.

||The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Titay, through the Titay People’s Council officers — President - Engr. Eleazer S. Ricaborda, Secretary - Kim Dulaogon, Auditor - Irish Cahayagan, Public Information Officer - Rogelio Orillanida, and member - Merry Z. Apelan — participated in the Local People’s Council (LPC) Forum organized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) through the CSO Focal Person, Ma’am Febie M. Marquez, held at GAB Hotel, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte, together with other municipalities from Region IX, on October 15–17, 2026, for the first batch.
The activity aimed to strengthen the functionality of Local People’s Councils and to enhance the participation of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in local governance processes.||

||REFRESHER COURSE for CSO Desk Officers Strengthening Participatory Governance||

The CSO Desk Officer Bunny Bunch Annie of Titay, together with her staff Mary Jean Yungot Basera attended the Refresher Course for CSO Desk Officers: Strengthening Participatory Governance held on October 2-3, 2025 at GAB Hotel, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte.

The Local Government Unit of Titay conducted the 2025 CSO Conference on August 15, 2025, with the participation of 60 representatives from various organizations and associations within the municipality. The event featured Ms. Febie L Marquez - CSO Focal from DILG as tne guest speaker, and was made possible through the leadership of Hon. Riorita M Martinez, RPh, Rio Martinez together with Atty. Renato Martinez, Municipal Administrator.

The Conference aimed to strengthen the partnership between the LGU of Titay and the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) by enhancing awareness of accreditation guidelines, promoting participatory governance, and emphasizing the vital role of CSOs in local development.

The success of the activity was furtber ensured througj the efforts of Ms. Annie R Torres, CSO desk Officer/AO-V , in collaboration with Ms. Cleofe Prepose Buen , ENP. -MPDC, Ms. Angelita Calixton- Narciso - MLGOO, and Engr. Eleazer Ricaborda - PRESIDENT of the Titay People's Council.
