AN ORDER LIFTING THE CANCELLATION/SUSPENSION OF FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES ISSUED ON MARCH 9, 2026, IN TANJAY CITY, NEGROS ORIENTAL

Through the recommendation of DRRMO as of 11:30 p.m. tonight, classes shall resume due to the improvement on weather conditions in our Area of Responsibility tomorrow and based on the latest updates from PAGASA.

However, learners, teachers, and school personnel are advised to remain vigilant and continue monitoring official announcements for further updates.

We are aware of the recent allegations involving our school. A formal investigation is currently ongoing.

At this time, we have received reports and initial findings indicating that the school was not responsible for the alleged incident. We are carefully reviewing all facts and will provide updates once the investigation is concluded.

We respectfully ask the public to refrain from spreading unverified information.

To ensure the safety of our learners, teachers, and school personnel, in light of the threats posed by Tropical Depression Basyang and based on a series of thorough monitoring and assessments conducted by the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), I hereby declare the suspension of classes at all levels, in both public and private schools, in Tanjay City, Negros Oriental, on February 5-6, 2026.

All teachers, especially those assigned in the hinterland barangays, are strongly advised to comply with this advisory for their safety and security. Likewise, all learners are advised to remain at home during this unpredictable time.

An official Executive Order will follow for everyone’s guidance and reference.
