“Where minds relax, heal, and connect.”

01/10/2026

Not everything we go through is visible. And not every story is easy to tell.

This Mental Health Month, let’s make space for real experiences and listen with greater understanding and compassion.

"If there’s one thing you wish more people understood about mental health, what would it be?"

Because every voice has a story. And when we take the time to listen, we create opportunities for real change. (blue heart)

TALKING ABOUT SU***DE SAVES LIVES

Under Republic Act No. 10627, otherwise known as the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013, and its Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations, bullying is any severe or repeated act that harms, frightens, or humiliates a learner and creates a hostile school environment.

Spreading awareness of this situation helps us keep our children safe at school and online. In today’s connected world, learning to identify bullying is more crucial than ever.

Stay informed, know the different forms of bullying, and if you are experiencing or suspect bullying, report it to your school’s designated focal person, learner formation officer, or authorities.

Keep our children in school safe from bullying. No to bullying!

DOH: PALAKASIN ANG PEER SUPPORT GROUPS AT COMMUNITY-BASED MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES KONTRA SU***DE

Su***de prevention can begin before crisis. Sometimes, it begins by becoming more willing and more able to notice, to understand, and to talk about difficult thoughts.

A thought about death does not always mean a wish to die. A wish to disappear does not always tell us what a person means. And someone thinking about su***de may not always say it directly.

We don’t have to rush to conclusions. We can become curious about what a thought means, listen without judgment, ask what we need to know, and connect someone to support when it’s needed.

Starting the conversation doesn’t mean having all the answers. Sometimes, it simply means being willing to ask, listen, and stay.

This Su***de Prevention Month, let’s make it easier to talk about the thoughts that can be difficult to put into words.

Su***de affects people of all ages and backgrounds, but the latest data show that some groups face a greater burden than others.

In the Philippines, more than 80% of su***de deaths are among men, while around 42% occur among young people aged 15–29 years. Evidence suggests that social norms, stigma around help-seeking, and limited access to timely mental health care can make it harder for people to get the support they need.

Understanding who is most affected can help shape more targeted prevention efforts, from promoting life skills and emotional well-being among young people to strengthening community-based mental health services, early identification, and access to care.

If you or someone you know needs support, contact the National Center for Mental Health (NCMH) Crisis Hotline at 1553 or 0919 057 1553.
