Happy 30th Anniversary Pokémon!
[58/365] 30 Years Ago (Edited)
On this day in 1996, thirty years ago, Pokémon Red & Green were first released in Japan. These games were the first-ever Pokémon games and had you play through the Kanto region as a new trainer, capturing up to 151 Pokémon while facing off against the 8 gyms and Team Rocket. These games spawned a franchise with 1,025 Pokémon, dozens of games, and more. Happy Birthday, Pokémon! (Serebii.net)

Despite the long lines and the hot weather, I was genuinely happy to see more citizens participating in the electoral process than in the last election. It took me almost an hour and a half to have my turn to mark my ballot and get my finger inked.
To those who have not yet cast their votes, there are still a couple of hours remaining before the precincts begin to close at 7:00 PM. According to COMELEC Resolution No. 10727, voters who have not yet cast their votes but are within 30 meters of the polling place by 7:00 PM on Election Day will still be allowed to do so.
Do not miss this opportunity to make your voice heard and choose what is best for our country!

Time flies and now dump.ed is a year old! To celebrate and thank all the people who have supported and followed the page, I am launching this page's first Photoset Series, "digitiz.ed," showcasing the Y2K era cameras famously called "digicams."
My burnout from shooting with modern cameras, which almost give you everything you need to shoot, inspired me to go back to the roots of my hobby. Follow me as I rediscover the passion using the smallest sensors you can imagine! 1-pixel cameras? CCD sensors? Swivel lenses? Transferring photos using RCAs? This series will showcase the most basic to the most obscure digital cameras that you may never have thought existed!
Let us take a trip down memory lane of the 2000s. Stay tuned for the first set!

Happy National Camera Day! 📸
Today, let's embrace the magic of photography and celebrate the tool that has the power to crystallize moments in time with just a single click. Let's reflect on the way cameras have allowed us to paint history with light and vivid memories.
Take a stroll down memory lane and think about that first camera you held close to your heart - was it a classic film camera, or a sleek digital one? Recall the stories you captured through its lens, from the cozy family gatherings to thrilling spur-of-the-moment escapades, work shoots, each snapshot a chapter in the book of your life.
No matter the shape, size, or brand of your camera, let's raise our lenses high as we honor and all the memories, big and small, that we've encapsulated through the art of photography!

A sponty trip with my family, as we were once again invited by a relative to visit their beachlot/beachline. It's the best way to "defrost" after that very chilly stay in Bukidnon 😂 I never thought there would be a hidden gem in this part of Caraga, because as far as I've known, most of this seaside is surrounded by large chunks of rocks, based on what I know about Pusan Point (Yeah, this place is near Pusan Point and the Easternmost point of the Philippines). So, if you are planning to visit Pusan Point, you might want to visit and take a dip here! Anyway, enjoy this photoset from Caraga!

Spent our first day of 2024 in Kitaotao, Bukidnon together with some relatives as it is our family's tradition to spend every new year away from home.
Thank you, JMCC, for our accommodation (it was free for us, by the way 😉). We really had a very good sleep as it was evident how we overslept and woke up at around 9 am in the morning 🤣.

"𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐫𝐚𝐫/𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐫𝐚𝐬" that means "To honor/Honors" and "𝐔𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐝𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐬 𝐌𝐮𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐨𝐬" which translates to "Day of the dead", a Spanish verb and a term which were believed to be the origin of the word we know now as "Undas". The Filipinization of Saints and Souls Day can be seen not only in the language but also in the way it is celebrated, which has remained unchanged since World War II (according to The Cenacle Missionary October-November 1941 Issue).
In contrast to international practices, Filipinos tend to celebrate Saints Day and Souls Day interchangeably, making it a two-day celebration of both. Every November 1st and 2nd, families gather and flock memorial parks and cemeteries to celebrate Undas. Often holding vigils at the graves of their dearly departed loved ones, sharing meals and of course the "hindi mamataymatay na combo" which includes some the most famous Filipino kakanin every celebration namely suman, biko and binignit, benegnet, binegnit, BNGNT basta mao nana oy 😪.
One contemporary addition to the celebration is the inclusion of Halloween activities (which is actually celebrated on October 31 🤣 Hay Pinoys 🤣) organizing Costume parties and contests, trick-or-treating and some parlor games to make the celebration more colorful and enjoyable for the families. And while the celebration varies from place to place, the honoring of the tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation remains unchanged.
Welp, daming ebas hahaha if you just want to look at the photos you can just skip the long and boring caption above and enjoy this photoset. (Taken at Palmhaven Memorial Park, Tagum City, Davao del Norte)
