Leandro Legarda Leviste ang nag-iisang miyembro ng Majority na bumoto ng "No" sa 2026 budget — dahil kailangang bawasan pa ng 25% ang presyo ng mga proyekto ng DPWH para matanggal ang ₱150 bilyong posibleng kickbacks sa ₱600 bilyong budget. Matapos nito, noong Oktubre 25, iniutos ni Pangulong Marcos kay DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon na ibaba ng ₱30-45 bilyon ang presyo ng mga construction materials ng DPWH. Patuloy pang pinag-aaralan ang posibleng karagdagang pagbaba ng mga presyo sa DPWH budget.

In 2009, a 200-pound chimpanzee named Travis — once treated like a son by his owner, Sandra Herold — suddenly turned into a monster.

When Sandra’s close friend Charla Nash came over to help calm Travis, the chimp snapped without warning. In a horrifying few minutes, he tore off Charla’s hands, nose, lips, and eyelids — leaving her blind, unrecognizable, and fighting for her life.

Police arrived to find the animal covered in blood; Travis was shot and killed after trying to attack an officer.

Charla miraculously survived and later underwent one of the world’s first full face and hand transplants. Today, she’s a living reminder that wild animals, no matter how “tame,” can never truly be pets.
