Getting a backstage pass into the kitchen at Moonlit_bohol in Alona was eye-opening. The owner here is incredibly meticulous about putting together every single dish, and you can really taste the difference because they make everything from scratch.

While their fusion menu is famous, the absolute biggest revelation for me was their Detroit-style Pizza. The crust, the cheese, the sauce—not the classic pizza... but it is easily one of the best pizzas experience you will find on the island.

Here is what you need to order:

The ambiance is fantastic, the staff treats you like family, and it is a spot I am 100% coming back to again and its no wonder why it is a local favorite. 🗺️👇

Tonight, I had the opportunity to serve as one of the judges for the Mutya sa Tagbilaran 2026 Advocacy Competition as part of Tagbilaran City's 60th Charter Day Celebration.

I was genuinely impressed by the passion, confidence, and purpose shown by all the candidates. From mental health and child protection to environmental sustainability and community service, it was encouraging to see so many young women using their voices to make a difference in their communities.

I had the opportunity to participate in the ASEAN-Korea Centre 한-아세안센터 and the Department of Tourism seminar on 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭.

One of the biggest takeaways for me was that travel content is no longer just about showing beautiful places. The focus is increasingly shifting toward experiences, storytelling, authenticity, and helping people understand why a destination matters.

It was also great to hear insights from tourism leaders, content creators, digital marketers, and industry professionals from both the Philippines and South Korea, while exchanging ideas with fellow participants throughout the day.

As someone working in tourism content creation here in Bohol, it's always valuable to learn how global trends are shaping the future of travel storytelling and destination marketing.
