ELPASUBAT Festival is the celebration of the trademarks of Taal, Batangas.

ELPASUBAT stands for Empanada, Longganisa, Panutsa, Suman, Barong, Balisong and Tapa — the delicacies and crafts that Taal is known for.

Photo of our ancestral house in Taal w/ my mother Nellie Barrion, 1946. The background is the house of Candida Barrion (now Galleria Taal), where my grandmother had a restaurant/coffee shop to serve American GI soldiers. The poster at the entrance says, "We serve ice cold drinks". The restaurant is now known as Candida Cafe in honor of my grandmother.

We're open to serve you this coming Holy Week. Visit Candida Cafe inside Galleria Taal Camera Museum here in Taal, Batangas.

Our restaurant also serves vegan and vegetarian comfort food. We offer an interesting menu of vegetable-based filipino dishes. Try our Kulawong Talong. A grilled eggplant mixed w/ smoked coconut cream and spices. Set your lunch with us at
