Amidst their busy day, the Rizal City Police Station also demonstrated compassion and assistance to those in need. On March 16, 2024, as a part of our cased based scenario on Cadet attachment program we simulated a conduct of hasty checkpoint in response to a bank robbery and shooting incident. The purpose of the checkpoint was to swiftly establish control points in strategic locations surrounding the crime scene in order to prevent the suspects from fleeing. With lives at risk and the perpetrators likely armed and dangerous, the agility and flexibility of the hasty checkpoint proved essential in ensuring a rapid and effective response.

By quickly cutting off potential escape routes and conducting thorough screenings of vehicles and individuals leaving the area, police officers were able to identify and apprehend the suspects before they could evade capture. This proactive approach not only led to the swift apprehension of the perpetrators, but also served as a powerful deterrent to others who may consider committing similar crimes. The visible presence of law enforcement at the hasty checkpoint also reassured the community that authorities were taking decisive action to maintain public safety.
