Dungan sa paglunsyar kang Philippine Environment Month kadya nga Lunes, mas ginpabaskug pa kang Antique Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) kag gobyerno lokal kang Sibalom ang andang kampanya sa pagprotektar sa palibot kag dunang manggad.

Sa ginhiwat nga Monday Flag Raising Ceremony kang LGU-Sibalom, ginpakigbahin ni PENRO-Antique Enforcement and Monitoring Chief Beverly Lyneth Salvan nga anda gin-pabaskug ang pag-monitor sa mga environmental laws sa mga kabanwahanan.

Lakip sa dyang mga tikang ang pagkumpiskar kang mga ilegal nga produkto halin sa kabukidan, pagpanakup sa mga nagapang-uring, nagapangkaingin, kag ang mga naga-transport kang wooden products nga wara ti nagakaigo nga permit. Seryoso man ang pag-monitor batok sa pagdisturbo sa kagurangan kag ang hugot nga pag-implementar kang Ecological Solid Waste Management Act (RA 9003).

Suno kay Enforcement and Monitoring Chief Salvan, dyang mga aktibidad kag pagsurundan ang simple lang pamatian pero naga-abot sa punto nga nabudlayan sa gihapon tumanon kang napira ka mga katawhan.

Dugang pa gid, ang pag-atipan kang palibot hindi lang responsibilidad kang mga opisyales kang gobyerno kundi dya ang obligasyon kang tanan sa sulud kang komunidad.

Agud mas mapadalum ang importansya kang amo nga selebrasyon, ginlatag man kang DENR ang serye kang mga aktibidad kadya nga bulan:

Hunyo 2-4: Forest Patrollers Day
Hunyo 4-10: Philippine Eagle Week
Hunyo 5: World Environment Day
Hunyo 8: World Oceans Day
Hunyo 10: DENR Anniversary Day
Hunyo 16: World Sea Turtles Day
Hunyo 17-18: DENR Permitting on Wheels
Hunyo 22: DENR Pasidungug
Hunyo 25: Tree Planting Activity Day

Sa bahin naman kang Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) Sibalom kag LGU-Sibalom, pormal sanda nga nagpapanaog kang direktiba nga nagamando sa 76 ka mga kabaranggayan kang banwa nga maghiwat kang Clean-up Drive sa mga kasubaan, kasapaan, kag iba pa nga ginaagyan kang tubig. Kadugangan kadya ang pag-obserbar kang Municipal Tree Planting Month nga patigayunon sa urihi nga Biyernes kang amo nga bulan.

Padayon man ang pagpatong kang penalidad sandig sa SWM Code kang Sibalom, sa diin, halin Enero hasta Abril 2026, nakarekord ang banwa kang 56 ka mga bayolasyon:

Burning of waste (Pagsunog kang basura): 9
Illegal dumping in streets and idle lots (Ilegal nga pagtablug sa karsada kag bakante nga lote): 20
Illegal dumping in waterways (Ilegal nga pagtablug sa ginaagyan kang tubig): 8
Unsegregated waste (Wara napain-pain nga basura): 18
Others (Iba pa nga bayolasyon): 1

Dyang mga nagbayolar ang gintugruan kang nagakaigo nga penalidad kag ginpapanaugan kang mando nga mag-atubang sa community service.

Para sa dugang nga detalye, magpamati kag maglantaw sa 𝟖𝟖𝟓 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚 kada adlaw, 4:00-5:00 sa gabii.

ANNOUNCEMENT

In celebration of Philippine Environment Month 2026 and in observance of World Environment Day, all barangays in the Municipality of Sibalom are enjoined to conduct a:

🌊 Barangay River Clean-up Activity
📅 June 5, 2026
🕕 6:00 AM onwards

The activity shall focus on the clean-up of rivers and other waterways, including creeks, irrigation canals, drainage canals, and declogging of canals to help prevent flooding, improve water flow, and promote a cleaner and healthier environment.

All Punong Barangays are encouraged to mobilize barangay officials, SK officials, 4Ps member-beneficiaries, schools, civil society organizations, people’s organizations, volunteers, and other community stakeholders.

Collected wastes must be properly segregated and managed accordingly.

Let us work together for cleaner rivers, safer communities, and a healthier Sibalom.

The Local Government Unit of Sibalom joins the nation in celebrating Philippine Environment Month 2026 with the theme:

“Our Environment, Our Future.”

In line with this, and pursuant to Municipal Ordinance No. 007-2016 and Ordinance No. 001, series of 2001, the month of June is also observed as Municipal Tree Planting Month, with the last Friday of June declared as Municipal Tree Planting Day.

All concerned offices, barangays, schools, agencies, organizations, and stakeholders are encouraged to conduct tree planting and tree-growing activities within their respective areas this June 2026.

Let us all take part in protecting, restoring, and nurturing our environment for the present and future generations.
