Against all odds, magkakasama na ulit ang pamilya. Nung una di ako nakilala ni Aria. Pero after ko siya halikan, naalala na niya ko bigla at ayaw na niyang bumitaw sakin! โค๏ธ๐๐ผ

Siya po ang may gusto ng
helmet at face shield. Good for this person po at maswerte sila na hindi nila kinelangan mag helmet ang anak niya. Unfortunately for us, this wasn't the case and our priority is safety for Aria. Kapag wala po siyang head gear at hinayaan namin, malakas ang mga suntok niya at posible maging FATAL ito sa kanya. Five years na po namin experience ito, kaya inuuna po namin ang safety niya kahit ano pa po ang opinyon ng ibang tao. As of today in 2026 po, hindi na po siya naghehead gear at lumipat na po siya sa wrist weights. Dito palang, makikita niyo na si Aria ay laging mag limprove kahit ganito ang pinagdaanan at nakasanayan niya. Hangga't anak namin si Aria, ginagawa namฤฑn ang lahat para mag improve sฤฑya araw araw. Nothing is permanent, and that includes the method we may or may not try just to make sure she is safe.

A recent report shared that a child with special needs was asked to eat outside a Starbucks branch in Pampanga because of a โ๐ก๐ผ ๐ข๐๐๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ฑ ๐๐น๐น๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฑโ policy.
The mother reportedly explained that her child is on the spectrum and only eats specific food. Despite this, they were still asked to step out to follow store rules.
This situation sparked debate online.
Letโs talk about it.
Policies exist for a reason. Businesses have rules to maintain order. But inclusion means recognizing that disability sometimes requires reasonable accommodation.
Many children on the autism spectrum have restrictive eating patterns. Itโs not being picky. Itโs not being spoiled. It can be sensory-based, texture-related, or tied to regulation and safety. For some children, safe food is the difference between calm and distress.
When a parent brings outside food for a child with special needs, it is often not preference it is necessity.
I also read a comment saying they could have just gone home, that the mother didnโt need her coffee, and that the childโs needs should come first.
Hereโs another perspective:
We can uphold policies while still making space for compassion.
We understand that establishments have policies.
But when a child with a disability is involved, should leaving the store always be the only option?
Can there be room for reasonable accommodation?
Can there be discretion?
Can there be compassion within policy?
Inclusion means creating solutions not simply pointing to the exit.
We hope businesses begin training staff on disability awareness and sensory needs.
A small adjustment can make a big difference for families navigating the world with special needs.
Letโs move toward policies that protect businesses and protect dignity.
Awareness is the bridge. Understanding is the goal.

YES, despite what many people say (kahit di naman sila sure), we do discipline our daughter. Just know that it can NEVER be the same way as other, neuro-typical children.
Ilang beses na kami nasabihan ng mga tao na kaya umiiyak lagi o nagdadabog si Aria dahil "kulang sa disiplina." This video shows ONE OF MANY DAILY INSTANCES kung saan identified namin ang behavioral at sensory issues (kung tantrum or meltdown dahil sa nararamdaman sa katawan), and we respond sa pagiging firm sa kanya; Marunong siya mag request ng mga gusto niya, kaya inaantay namin siyang tumigil mag tantrums sa video na to. In the end, hinila niya ko sa gusto niya at siya na mismo ang kumuha. ๐๐ผโค๏ธ
Sa mga nagtatanong po kung bakit nakahelmet si Aria at kung bakit hinahayaan namin siyang isuot ito kahit in public, here's a video of what happens po pag wala siyang helmet.
Ngayon po, hindi na siya nagsusuot ng helmet. Malaking tulong po sa kanya ang wrist weights niya at same effect po siya ng helmet niya dati. Ang sarap lang din ilook back itong mga moments na to at can't help but feel proud of Aria sa kanyang progress. ๐๐ผโค๏ธ๐

From just 2,000 yesterday, suddenly we are at 5,000 followers and counting! Super thank you for your support, and above all, empathy. I'm sure if Aria could speak, she will say how grateful she is for all of you. ๐๐ค๐
This song is called "Bituin," which I wrote in 2018 but never really had the chance to record it cause I was never confident with my own voice. But now that technology is more advanced, I finally have a male singer who can interpret my songs.
This is for you, Aria, our Bituin.
Weโve faced judgment and unsolicited advice more times than we can count โ often right to our faces, and even from our own family. But this one hurt the most. You never expect something like this to come from someone who should understand what youโre going through.
Youโd think the words said directly to you would cut the deepest. But realizing how they speak about us behind our backs hurts just as much โ maybe even more. Moments like these reveal who truly matters, and who doesnโt. They open your eyes to the people who stay because they genuinely careโฆ and those who stay only because you share the same blood.
