Emma, 9 years old, an ORIGINS member since October 2023.

Naturally gentle and kind, Emma has always had a soft and sweet disposition. Through training, she has learned to become tougher, more focused, and composed under pressure.

At ORIGINS, we’ve had the privilege of watching her grow from a very shy little girl on the mats into someone who now steps into competitions with confidence — embracing every challenge and turning each experience into a valuable lesson. Continue having fun Emma!!!

TEENS JiuJitsu (13 years old and above)

In JiuJitsu, teens learn to think strategically, protect themselves first, stay calm under pressure, adapt to difficult situations, and work their way out of challenges with composure and confidence.

Today, ORIGINS Nuvali is home to more than 30 teens — many of whom started with us in KIDS classes and naturally progressed into the TEENS program. Over the years, the mats have become more than just a training space. They’ve become a safe space to grow, build confidence, and form genuine friendships.

One of the things we’re most proud of is seeing these teens keep coming back — and even those who’ve been away for a while returning because they miss their friends and teammates at ORIGINS.

Beyond JiuJitsu skills, this is what we truly value: surrounding our teens and pre-teens with good people, healthy influences, and meaningful face-to-face relationships. In a generation shaped by screens, social media, short attention spans, endless extra curricular activities, constant brain stimulations, having a strong and grounded community, and having real connections is priceless. (Thank you dear parents!)

In this class, our kids are learning how to control their partner, off-balance with proper timing, and create angles to set up sweeps and attacks. While it may look technical, these drills help develop coordination, awareness, and smart decision-making on the mat.

YOUNG KIDS JIU-JITSU and JUDO PLAYCLASS for little ones ages 3 to 6 years old.

Mondays through Fridays, 3 PM.

Away from screens, away from iPads, away from phones — just fun physical fitness and lots of movement! Classes are designed like games, making it easier for very young kids to understand and grasp the concepts while having fun and making little friends.
