Our indigenous brothers and sisters are the living guardians of our ancestral lands, native languages, and timeless cultural identity.

But celebrating them is not enough—we must actively stand with them.

Let us answer the call to respect, safeguard, and protect the rights, lands, and dignity of our indigenous communities against all forms of displacement and injustice.

Santa Rosa Science and Technology High School (SRSTHS) held a Thanksgiving Mass for Grade 11 and Grade 12 students on Tuesday, July 28, bringing the school community together in gratitude for the blessings received and offering prayers for Grade 12 students preparing for the upcoming University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT).

The Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Father Mario, who encouraged students to remain faithful and maintain a positive outlook amid academic and personal challenges.

"𝘋𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘶𝘱𝘴𝘦𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶," he reminded the students, emphasizing the importance of focusing on the bigger picture instead of dwelling on minor setbacks.

Following the Mass, the assembly proceeded with an address from School Principal Dr. Sylvia L. Marquez, EdD, who shared important school announcements.

Dr. Marquez explained that the revised class schedule has been implemented following the hiring of new faculty members, whom she formally introduced.

"𝘗𝘳𝘢𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬, 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘤𝘵," Dr. Marquez advised the students. She concluded the assembly with an academic workload checkup and assured of the school's continued support for its learners.

The assembly equipped students with both spiritual guidance and important administrative updates as they gear up for the academic activities ahead.
