A friendly reminder

Matthew 6:33 NLT
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

Before, Everytime I read this verse, it always reminds me of my personal needs such us finances, personal stuffs, everything that can satisfies me. Everytime I seek His kingdom I have the assurance of having all of this.
But this week, this verse suddenly popped up in my mind and this time I gently ask the Holy Spirit,

"Can you please put me on the deep of this verse?"

Then He lead me to read the whole Matthew chapter 6. Then He reveals me something. Some people in the passage esp those Pharisees helps the needy, pray and even fast. But the passage tells that they did all of this for a show. They want to be fame, to look rightheous in the eyes of the people, and look what Jesus said, "They have recieved their reward" Whats their reward anyway? The praise of people. They seek for attention so their reward is also attention. The Holy Spirit reveals me that what you seek is also your reward. Thats why the Lord teach us to seek first His kingdom, why? For that kingdom, theres a King that waits us, and that "and He will give you everthing what you need" in this verse, Should be that king. The Lord Jesus Christ shall be your everything. For He knows people satisfies treasures here on earth only for a moment, But If you let the Lord be the everything of your life. He always satisfies you. He's love for us can only satisfies us.
