𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | The Alyansa ng Nagkakaisang Konseho ng Politeknikong Unibersidad ng Pilipinas (ANAK PUP) revealed the 13 initial nominees for the 20th PUP Student Regent seat on Monday, June 15.

Sentral na Konseho ng Mag-aaral President JP Azusano led the list with 82 nominations, followed by College of Communication Student Council President Alvin Aligam with 38 nominations, and PUP Quezon City Supreme Student Council President Louisze Louriel Valeroso with 30 nominations.

The deadline for nominees to accept or decline their nomination is June 22, followed by the same-day announcement of the official list of nominees.

According to Article X, Section 1 of the PUP Student Regent (SR) Selection Code, acceptance must be submitted via Google or Microsoft Forms and email, as directed by the Search Committee.

To decline a nomination, the nominee must submit a formal letter to the committee detailing their reasons, per Section 5 of the same article. The committee will then forward this letter to the entity that issued the nomination.

This year saw an increase in initial nominees compared to the eight recorded in the previous 25th ANAK PUP Congress.

𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗡 | Nakapagtala ng 176 na 'valid nominations' ang Alyansa ng Nagkakaisang Konseho (ANAK) para sa paparating na seleksiyon ng ika-20 Student Regent ng Politeknikong Unibersidad ng Pilipinas (PUP).

​Halos anim na beses na mas mataas ito kumpara sa 28 nominasyon noong nakaraang taon.

​"Isang makasaysayang pagtaas ito ng pakikilahok ng mga Iskolar ng Bayan," ani ANAK PUP matapos mabilang ang 180 kabuuang nominasyon, kung saan apat ang idineklarang invalid.

​Binuksan ang nominasyon noong Hunyo 8 at isinara pagpatak ng 11:59 kagabi, Hunyo 14.

​Paalala ng pederasyon, hindi katumbas ng bilang ng mga estudyanteng nominado ang kabuuang bilang ng mga nominasyong natanggap.

​Ang Student Regent ang nagsisilbing opisyal na kinatawan ng sektor ng mga mag-aaral sa Lupon ng mga Rehente, ang pinak**ataas na lupon ng pamamahala at paggawa ng polisiya sa unibersidad.

𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 | The month-long printing of Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for the Year-end Commencement Exercises begins today, June 15, and will run until July 15.

According to the PUP Sentral na Konseho ng Mag-aaral (SKM), students must make sure that they have the "Final Evaluation" status in the Graduation Application tab and have a complete and posted final grades in the PUP Student Information System (PUPSIS) website.

The university also reminded graduating students to clear both academic and non-academic deficiencies before the printing period ends to ensure inclusion in the Candidates for Graduation.

Meanwhile, after months of speculation on the possible venue, the university confirmed that the Year-End Commencement Rites will be held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) from September 21 to 23, 2026.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | Nagkaisa ang mga progresibong organisasyon para sa pagdiriwang ng Araw ng Kalayaan nitong Hunyo 12 Kalaw Avenue upang ipakita ang kanilang mga pananaw tungkol sa kasalukuyang kalagayan ng bansa. Dala ang kanilang mga karatula ng panawagan, nagbigay ng mga pahayag sa kung paano pa rin nahaharap ang mga Pilipino sa mga balakid tunay na kalayaan dulot ng kasalukuyang mga hamon sa ekonomiya at lipunan.

Ginamit ng mga demonstrador ang pagdiriwang ng ika-128 anibersaryo ng kalayaan ng Pilipinas upang idiin ang kanilang mga kahilingan para sa makatarungang pasahod, pantay na oportunidad para sa lahat, kapayapaan, at ganap na pambansang kalayaan mula sa pagkontrol ng ibang bansa.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | Second-year Broadcasting students from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) concluded the Breakfast Television Festival 2026 today, June 13, via live broadcast on the PUP BroadCircle page.

Carrying the theme "DAWN ON AIR: Aligning Narratives Across the Live Spectrum," the festival showcased 10 student-led morning show productions that highlighted the students' skills in broadcasting, production management, and live television ex*****on.

Each team developed a 30-minute morning show concept while incorporating elements of entertainment, public service, current affairs, lifestyle content, and audience engagement.

The featured productions were Liwayway Productions, Habilin Productions, Sidlaw Productions, Pithaya Productions, Nayon Studios, Kasalo Studios, Bola-bola Creatives, Tik-tilaok Studios, Tala-Araw One Production, and Barrio Banyuhay.
