At the end of 2021, Danish windsurfing legend @bjorndunkerbeck set a new speed record in Namibia at the age of 52. He reached a top speed of exactly 103.67 km/h for two seconds and maintained an average of 101 km/h over a distance of 100 meters. The over 40-time record holder proved once again that age is no obstacle. 🤙🏽

To this day that was one of the most unbelievable things l’ve ever seen. Being right there watching them both go down like that shook me to my core. Pe’ahi (Jaws) is a freak of nature and demands so much respect. I can’t imagine what it felt like from their perspectives and I never want to find out. It was such a relief when I saw both of them make it back the channel relatively fine (but shook up l’m sure). The ocean spared them that day 😳 #jaws #peahi #wipeout #bigwaves
