BASC Rodeo Club

𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐌𝐈𝐒, the second batch of the 𝗕𝗔𝗦𝗖 𝗥𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 and the 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘴 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳, celebrates its 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆.

This year brought a fair share of hardships. The batch faced challenges that tested their 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵, and 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, but they 𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧. Every obstacle taught them to stay 𝚐𝚛𝚘𝚞𝚗𝚍𝚎𝚍, every fall reminded them to 𝚛𝚒𝚜𝚎, and every moment of doubt proved how far they had come.

Through it all, they found something deeper, 𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙨 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙢𝙚. They started as strangers, but both 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧 and 𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐫 turned them into a 𝐅𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐘. Batch 𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗠𝗜𝗦 learned that their identity isn’t defined by titles or ranks, but by 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱.

They became 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀, teammates in every fight, partners through every struggle, and allies against everything that tried to break them. They stood for one another when things grew hard and reminded each other why they keep going. What binds them isn’t blood, but loyalty, trust, and the kind of bond that only grows stronger with time, 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘴 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘯.

Strong in principle yet gentle in spirit, YANNA is 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙢 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙨𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙣 while remaining kind, and grounded. Her 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 and 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 shine through in everything she does and no matter where she goes, she’s 𝓪𝓵𝔀𝓪𝔂𝓼 𝓰𝓵𝓸𝔀𝓲𝓷𝓰!✨ Her warmth and strength make her not only an inspiring orgmate but also a genuinely sweet and supportive sister to many. 💚

To continue its advocacy for animal welfare and public health, the Rodeo Club held a 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶-𝗥𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗩𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 for dogs and cats in selected areas of 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗮-𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗮. The activity aimed to help 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙗𝙤𝙩𝙝 𝙥𝙚𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙤𝙬𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮’𝙨 𝙚𝙛𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝙩𝙤𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙖 𝙧𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙚𝙨-𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩.

A total of 𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝗱𝗼𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝘀 were vaccinated through the effort of Rodean Resident volunteers from 3rd to 6th year DVM. Each vaccination brought the community one step closer to safety and awareness.

𝐁𝐚𝐤𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐨, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐤𝐭𝐚𝐝𝐨. A simple act that keeps families and pets safe.

The Rodeo Club extends its gratitude to 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗮-𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 and 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 for their cooperation and warm welcome. The success of this activity reflects the power of teamwork between veterinary students and the local community.

𝐑𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐨 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐃𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲: 𝐑𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢-𝐑𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐕𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

In line with the celebration of 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗥𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 and its advocacy for rabies prevention and animal welfare, the 𝗥𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 successfully held its 𝗗𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆 on October 10. This two-part community outreach activity aimed to promote both education and action toward building a rabies-free community.

🐾 𝗥𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝘁 𝗢𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽
To empower the youth in becoming advocates for animal welfare and public health, the Rodeo Club conducted a Seminar on Rabies Awareness and Responsible Pet Ownership at Pala-Pala Elementary School as part of its Double Action Day event.

The seminar aimed to educate students on 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙧𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙚𝙨, 𝙞𝙩𝙨 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙥𝙚𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙠𝙚𝙚𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙨𝙖𝙛𝙚. The young participants eagerly engaged in the discussion, showing enthusiasm and curiosity as they learned how small acts of care can make a big difference in protecting both people and animals.

𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐑𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 carries the theme, “𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐍𝐨𝐰: 𝐘𝐨𝐮, 𝐌𝐞, 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲,” set by the 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 (𝗚𝗔𝗥𝗖), reminds us that rabies prevention is everyone’s responsibility. Hundreds of Filipinos still die from rabies each year, yet the disease is 𝟭𝟬𝟬% 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲.

The 𝐑𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐨 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 embraces the 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 approach. We work to 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚, 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙨, and 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 through shared action. As advocates for animal welfare and responsible handling, we highlight the importance of vaccination, education, and cooperation in ending rabies.

What you can do:
🐶 Vaccinate dogs and cats every year.
👩‍⚕️ Visit an Animal Bite Treatment Center after every bite or scratch.
🏥 Take part in local vaccination drives.
👨‍👩‍👧 Educate family and friends about proper rabies prevention.

By acting together, we help move closer to a future free from rabies. Prevention starts with each of us, and together we can save lives.

Rabies spreads through the 𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐬, mostly dogs yet through 𝘃𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, and 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲, we can 𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 and work toward a 𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐞𝐬-𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝. 💚
