Bato Chapter's Ongoing Guard House Renovation

La Union - Benguet Archdiocese

City of San Fernando, La Union – Members of Bato Chapter joined forces to begin the renovation of the guard house, which remained untouched for 20 years.

Funds were raised by members to finally kickstart the renovation, which began on January 7, 2025, and is still ongoing up to this date. The Crusaders Officers League (COL) spearheaded the project, with the Women's Sorority (WS) supporting them by preparing meals for the workers.

Work takes place twice a week, every Tuesday and Wednesday, as per the agreed schedule.

"We are doing our best to complete and beautify this guard house, as it will bring joy to Apo Lakay, (Ikarkarigatan mi nga palpasen ken papintasen atoy guard house mi ta isu ti maysa nga pagragsakan ni Apo Lakay)" said Bato Chapter Honor Guard Chief, Baby Lope Ebreo.

New tiles renew Bato Chapter

La Union-Benguet Archdiocese

City of San Fernando, La Union – The Bato Chapter's beautification efforts were elevated as new tiles were installed within the church premises, January 27.

The project was spearheaded by Mr. Pedro Binbinon Jr., an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) and tile setter based in Australia, who is currently on vacation in the Philippines with his family. The installation was carried out smoothly with the assistance of members from the Crusaders Officers League (COL) and Crusaders Kabataan Federation (CKF) under the direction of Mr. Binbinon.

The tiles were purchased and donated by the Binbinon family, long-standing members of the Bato Chapter. Despite relocating to the Australia Chapter, their dedication to extending love and support to the Bato Chapter—and to fellow crusaders in other chapters—remains unwavering.

The tiling activity was completed in just five days, in time for the Provincial Meeting of the La Union-Benguet Archdiocese (LUB), which the Bato Chapter hosted last February 1.

Members of the Bato Chapter expressed their joy and pride as they saw the fruits of their hard work in completing the tiling project on schedule.

"Let us patiently continue to improve and care for this Palace, a gift to us from Apo Lakay," (Agan-anus tayo nga papintasen ken palagdaen kakabsat daytoy palasyo nga insagot kadatay ni Apo Lakay) said Rev. Fr. Ramil T. Balisi, AMA assigned to the Bato Chapter.
