The BFP R3 Special Rescue Force (SRF) ORD Personnel, headed by FCINSP SHEILA MARIE C CARLOS, Chief, Special Rescue Force, under the leadership of FSSUPT BERNARD T ROSETE, DSC, Acting Regional Director of BFP Region 3, successfully conducted the Disaster Rescue and Retrieval Operations Refresher Training at Headquarters Charlie Company, Brgy. San Juan Baño, Arayat, Pampanga, in partnership with the 70th Infantry (Matapat at Matatag) Battalion, 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division, Philippine Army.
A total of 45 participants enhanced their knowledge and skills in Disaster Management, Triage, Search and Rescue (SAR), Water Search and Recovery Operations, and proper rescue equipment utilization — strengthening operational readiness and inter-agency cooperation in responding to emergencies and calamities.
Through continuous training and collaboration, BFP R3 SRF remains committed to building safer, stronger, and more resilient communities.

In Photos | BFP R3 Special Rescue Force (SRF) ORD personnel led by FCINSP SHEILA MARIE C CARLOS, Chief SRF, under the leadership of FSSUPT BERNARD T ROSETE, DSC, Acting Regional Director of BFP Region 3, conducted a refresher training on Technical Rope Rescue at Old BFP Regional Office 3, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
This refresher training emphasized the changing of device malfunction or equipment failure and also the techniques of transferring from one set of ropes to another, such as when changing from a primary line to a new line.

IN PHOTOS | BFP R3 SPECIAL RESCUE FORCE COMPLETES NATIONAL TRAINING ON NUCLEAR AND RADIOLOGICAL EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Region 3 Special Rescue Force (SRF) led by FSUPT XERIEL P TAMAYO, Chief SRF, and under the leadership of FSSUPT SANTOS C GAWONGNA, DSC, Acting Regional Director, BFP Region 3, continues to strengthen its operational capability as its ORD personnel successfully completed the 3-Day National Training Course on Nuclear and Radiological Emergency Preparedness and Response hosted by the PDRRMO Bulacan with the technical specialty of Philippine Nuclear Research Institute held from May 04-06, 2026, at the PDRRMO Training Room, Capitol Compound, City of Malolos, Bulacan.
Among the SRF participants were SFO1 Paul Joel T Muyco and FO1 Lyka Diane G Vinuya, who actively engaged in the specialized training.
The course aimed to enhance the readiness of emergency responders in addressing nuclear and radiological incidents by equipping them with essential knowledge, technical skills, and response strategies. It also emphasized strengthening resilience and ensuring that responders are prepared to manage complex emergencies effectively.
Through initiatives such as this, BFP Region 3 reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding communities by continuously developing the competence and preparedness of its personnel in handling evolving and high-risk emergency situations.

In Photos | The BFP R3 Special Rescue Force (SRF) ORD personnel led by FSUPT XERIEL P TAMAYO, Chief, SRF, and under the leadership of FSSUPT SANTOS C GAWONGNA, DSC, Acting Regional Director of BFP Region 3, conducted Urban Search and Rescue Training at Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (ACDRRMO) City Hall Compound, Pulung Maragul, Angeles City, Pampanga on 27 April to 01 May 2026.
This training provides rescuers with critical skills and advantages that directly impact the success of emergency operations, especially during disasters like earthquakes, building collapses, and explosions.

In Photos | The BFP R3 Special Rescue Force (SRF) ORD personnel led by FSUPT XERIEL P TAMAYO, Chief, SRF, and under the leadership of FSSUPT SANTOS C GAWONGNA, DSC, OIC-Regional Director of BFP Region 3, conducted Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Operations Level Training to Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital (JBLMGH). It was held at the Microtel Pampanga, City of San Fernando, Pampanga on 13-18 April 2026.
This training provides responders with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to analyze, plan, and implement defensive response actions for hazardous materials (HAZMAT) incidents.
