This extension is provided to accommodate students who were unable to complete the clearance signing during the previously scheduled dates.

Please ensure that all required documents and necessary signatures are properly secured before the deadline. Please be informed that the releasing of the Notice of Acceptance (NOA) and ID Pictorial for Incoming First Year Students, Transferees, and Returnees will be conducted based on the scheduled dates indicated below. All concerned students are advised to carefully check and follow their assigned schedule to ensure an organized and smooth process.

The newly elected officers of the Supreme Student Council (SSC) and various Local Councils officially took their oath of office at the City Mayor’s Office, New City Hall, Island Garden City of Samal, administered by Hon. Lemuel T. Reyes - City Mayor. The oath-taking formally marked the beginning of a new chapter of student leadership and service as the officers pledged their commitment to uphold their duties and responsibilities for the welfare of the student body and the institution.

The event gathered student leaders together with school officials and advisers who witnessed the formal assumption of office of the newly elected representatives. Present during the oath-taking were Assistant College Administrator Sir Carlos D. Manlapus, LPT, MAEd, representing Acting College Administrator Dr. Jennifer C. Gonzaga, LPT, CMITAP, alongside Annie C. Macarambon, LPT, MPA, Adviser of the Commission on Student Election (COMSE). Their presence emphasized the institution’s continued support in strengthening student governance, leadership development, and active student participation within the academic community.

During the oath-taking, the newly elected officers solemnly pledged to serve with integrity, accountability, and dedication as they officially assume their respective positions. The moment symbolized not only the acceptance of leadership roles but also the responsibility entrusted to them by the student body to become voices of representation, advocates of student welfare, and instruments of positive change within the institution.

Leading the roster of newly elected student leaders is the Supreme Student Council headed by President Baguio, Saedyl, together with Vice-President Morillo, Althea; Secretary Pacquiao, Justine James; Treasurer Reyes, Clariz Joy; Auditor Goc-Ong, Mariel; Public Information Officer Roa, Patrick; and Business Manager Cuaresma, Sol Edward. As the highest student governing body of the institution, the SSC is expected to spearhead programs, initiatives, and activities that will promote student engagement, leadership, and collaboration among the student population.

The BPA Local Council officers also formally took their oath, led by Governor Del Campo, Mariemor and Vice-Governor Plaza, Stephen. Joining them are Secretary Hubay, MJ; Treasurer Novabos, Sandra; Auditor Sajol, Gerlie; Public Information Officer Villegas, Carl Warren; and Business Manager Sullano, Mark John. The council is expected to strengthen student involvement and representation within their academic department through active leadership and service-oriented initiatives.

Meanwhile, the BSE Local Council is headed by Governor Balisalisa, Ryker and Vice-Governor Gayuma, Cherry Mae, together with Secretary Galarpe, Razel; Auditor Malana, John Micheal; and Public Information Officer Montajes, Jerika. Also taking oath was BSAB Local Council Governor Galarde, Erick Laurence, who will serve as the representative and leader of their respective department.

The oath-taking signifies the official beginning of the officers’ journey as student leaders who are entrusted with the responsibility of promoting unity, cooperation, discipline, and student empowerment. As they begin their term of office, the newly elected SSC and Local Council officers under the Student Affairs Unit are expected to work collectively in advancing programs and initiatives that will contribute to the growth, development, and welfare of the entire student community. //J.Ariola

The Samal Island City College Admission Test (SICCAT) has officially concluded, marking the successful completion of this year’s admission screening process for aspiring students. The examination period, which commenced on March 8, 2026, and culminated on May 2, 2026, accommodated a good number of student applicants seeking admission to one of the city’s premier higher education institutions.

The admission examination was conducted by the Guidance and Testing Center, headed by Dr. Richard S. April 23, 2026 - The Campus Clubs and Organizations Coordination Meeting was successfully conducted at the SICC Library, gathering student leaders and representatives from various organizations for a unified and collaborative discussion on strengthening campus engagement and leadership.

Presided over by Dr. Richard S. Jimenez, DevEd-GC, RGC, RPm - Director of Student Services and Development Section, the meeting emphasized the importance of coordination, active participation, and alignment of organizational initiatives with the institution’s goals. It also served as a platform for addressing concerns, sharing insights, and reinforcing the role of student organizations in fostering a vibrant academic community.

Among the key agenda discussed were the review and development of the Constitution and By-Laws, as well as the designation of roles per office. In compliance with CHED Memorandum No. 117, s. 2026, and Executive Order No. 110, Samal Island City College will implement a 50-50 hybrid blended teaching modality due to the declared national energy emergency. Consequently, the Student Services and Development Section informs all students that the deadline for signing clearance has been extended until May 13, 2026.

Students whose programs are under online asynchronous modality are not required to physically report to the college for the signing of clearance. All other students who have not yet completed their clearance are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this extension and adhere to all necessary procedures within the specified timeframe.

INFORMATION SERVICE || SCHOOL UNIFORM SUSPENSION

ANNOUNCEMENT || School Uniform Suspension

In view of the rising heat index, the mandatory wearing of school uniforms is hereby temporarily suspended effective April 23, 2026 until further notice.

Students are advised to wear comfortable and breathable attire while maintaining proper decorum at all times. Departmental shirts shall be worn every Monday and Wednesday, while civilian attire is allowed on other days. The wearing of school ID remains mandatory within campus premises.

All students are expected to comply with the prescribed dress code.
