The Monfort Bat Cave Sanctuary has been entrusted by the Monfort Family of Davao City, Mindanao Philippines for over 80 years. The 500 meter cave is home to the largest known single population of one particular species of fruit bat called the Geoffroy's Rousette. Monfort Bat Sanctuary has been the house of a large colony of 2.3 million Rousette fruit bats and a World Record Title holder since recorded history.
It is located at Brgy. Tambo, Babak District, Island Garden City of Samal.
