We often ask, "Why do I attend church when I consistently fall short? Isn't it hypocritical to partake of the sacrament and strive for Christlike living, yet struggle so deeply?"

If I believed the lie that my sins disqualify me from entering the Lord's house, I'd miss countless moments of grace and healing.

I'd miss the quiet assurance that the Church isn't for the perfected, but for those engaged in the process of sanctification.

The Church isn't a sanctuary for saints, but a spiritual hospital for sinners.

It's where the spiritually wounded, like me, find healing through the Savior's Atonement.

It's where we're reminded of His infinite Atonement, His boundless capacity for forgiveness, and His loving invitation to "come unto Christ," regardless of our repeated stumbles.

Each Sunday, as I sit in those pews, I feel the Savior's gentle reminder, "I didnโ€™t call you to perfection overnight. I called you to follow Me, step by step."

And so I go, not because I'm without sin, but because I know I can't progress without Him.

The sacrament table reminds me that through His Atonement, there's hope for renewal and a "mighty change of heart." The hymns remind me I'm not alone in my trials. The testimonies shared remind me faith is a journey, not a destination, and each ordinance brings me closer to Him.

I attend Church to lay down my burdens and be reminded of my divine potential.

I go to be taught by inspired leaders, to repent, and to renew my covenants. Isn't that what the Savior asks? Not perfection, but consistent effort and a broken heart and contrite spirit.

To anyone feeling unworthy to enter His house, remember Christ's words:

โ€œThey that are whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.โ€

He doesnโ€™t just allow us to come despite our flaws; He invites us because of them, that He may heal us.

So, I'll continue attending, not as a hypocrite, but as a humble sinner who needs the Savior's grace every single day.

Because no matter how often I fall short, I know He is always there, ready to lift me through His enabling power.

And that is why I go to Church.๐ŸŒบ

โœจ Truly, โ€˜For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of themโ€™ (Matthew 18:20). Grateful for the spirit we felt and the unity we shared.
