Initial Stages - Land Clearing & Preparation, Office set-up & Electrification

Time flies really quickly. We planted these pepper, okra and pechay seeds some days ago. We witness and observe them grow daily. We can't wait to harvest and serve them in the table to be eaten.

Planting vegetables and fruits require patient labor and attention. At the GIFT, we do not just plant to satisfy personal ambition. We intend to learn and share life's lessons through them.

Goshen Integrated Farm in Tabon (GIFT), is blessed with fresh, clear, running water from the river. GIFT proposes to create a dam by using a sack filled with soil. It will serve as barrier to hold and raise the water level.

This can be our source of water for drinking or irrigation purposes. It can be a reservoir for raising tilapia and hito. We can build a mini house or water shed beside it where guests can take time off or take pictures.

Goshen Integrated Farm in Tabon (GIFT) is now putting up an alignment through the use of nylon string. This is necessary as guide relative to planting Dragon Fruit. Further, this is also the basis to have an alignment for the road/ pathways.

Planting different varieties of vegetables is on-going. This is one of the most important component of GIFT. When ready, guests will be encouraged to pick and buy directly from the farm.

The GIFT crew is trying to fix the feeder roads leading to the farm. The recent rains caused further damaged to the already bad roads.

Thank God, we're able to get the permission of the owner of the nearby farm to set up our "stockyard" inside his property. We are also blessed to have an electrician in the team who promptly assisted with our electrical concerns. We have light and power for our equipment like electric pump and electric cutter.

GOSHEN INTEGRATED FARM in TABON (GIFT), Capiz is the newest 16-hectare integrated farm in the Philippines. It is located at Sitio Tabon, Poblacion,Sapian, Capiz. It is currently planted with coconut, bananas, avocado, star apple, guava and rice.

Very soon and drawing inspiration from our sister-farm in Ilocos Norte (see pictures below), GIFT will have dragon fruit, and other exotic ones like lanzones, bangkok atis, mangosteen, dwarf coconuts, macapuno, latex-free langka, durian, pili, rambutan, guabano, and many more.

Also, GIFT will have strawberries, grapes, mulberries and vegetables like lettuce, cauliflower, carrots, raddish, pechay, tomatoes, pepper, eggplants, squash, upo, patola, ampalaya, sitao and others.
